Distance indicator

Recommended Posts

Anyone has toughts about some kind of "Range indicator"?

It has always been a concern in this game, at least for me: you're using a gun with limited range, and since there is no scale, you don't know if the target is at 10 meters away or 100. As a result, you don't know at what distance you need to be in order to deal the most damage.

Though adding a few numbers in top of every tank at every single moment could lead to a few lagging issues, adding them only when the target is inside Max Range and only for the tanks you are pointing at wouldn't be so bad.

See the squares that the map is made up of? The size of each square is 5 by 5 metres, so you can use that info to calculate distances. All maps are made up of these squares, but on some maps they are more visible than on others.

Although I do agree that a better distance indicator would be useful.

Could you point out which square is 5 by 5 meters so I can crunch some numbers?

Most of the maps doesn't have that much.

For example: Desert

this will be useless for railgun

It will be useful for anyone, actually, since you'll also be able to know the distance you are from the target, thus trying to keep safe distance from them.
