Tbh I don't really care about Shaft's color because 1) I'm partially colorblind so with those shots appearing on-screen for 0.5 seconds it's pretty hard for me to tell the color, and 2) the problem may be caused by your computer screen display/resolution/LCD/brightness and whatnot. Either way, this isn't really a problem in the game; it's not ruining it and by the time you see that color, you're already dead. You can simply find that Shaft user and look at the modification. Another way is to see how much damage it does. M3 does a serious amount of damage, so if your Viking M3 gets one shot by Shaft, suspect an M3 or a Double Damage drugging M2. Or maybe get a Shaft protection paint. I'm just that kind of player that doesn't really care about these aesthetic aspects of the game. I tend to focus on the problems that are affecting gameplay and other players' experiences. So if you have OCD or just flat out have a problem with the shot color, I wouldn't really consider this to be a problem. Just my thoughts. :)

If you can't tell and it hinders your strategy THAT much, maybe avoid them altogether?

They're not everywhere, just avoid maps like Brest and Highland.

Other than that, I kind of liked the older look of Shaft.

It shows up for half a second. You'd need fast eyes... Plus you could, like I said, simply ask, or like omar said, look at their profile, or look at it in battle... -_- For something that shows up for half a second, I don't think it would make a difference to change it.

Came on the forum looking for a topic like this....an M2 Shaft looks like M1, an M1 Shaft looks like M0, etc.

 

The M3 Shaft should be red. Not Orange. The M2 Shaft should be Orange. Not yellow.
