I've decided to make this topic to display my writing in creative way. The writing team at the Tanki Online Newspaper didn't accept my request to join, when I applied during the appropriate period of time. I do intend to join the Newspaper Staff in the future, so I will make this topic to polish my writing skills. 

 

I will write about some of the following things in this topic. 

 

• Short, multi-paragraph stories.
• A story I will be continuously working on until I have decided it is done. 
• My opinion on recent Tanki updates.
• And much more!

I intend to take up a career in writing, and think this is a good opportunity, as I can entertain people, and do what I love to do. Write. 

 

The Long Writing

 

 

Today was the day I had to go to the Doctors. I had no real problem with it until the night before, when I got the most terrifying nightmare of my life, about what would happen if I went. I tried to ignore it, but whenever I closed my eyes, even for a split second, I would see the nightmare again. 

 

I felt something.. different when I walked into the office. Something painful, but bitterly sweet. Something I've never felt before, but felt strangely familiar. I just couldn't put my finger on it, so I decided to ignore it, and that was my first mistake. Sitting there in dead silence with that feeling gnawing at me was almost to much to bear. I waited a few more minutes until the Doctor came into the room and asked the usual questions.

 

"How are you today?" he said.

 

"I'm fine. And how are you?" I replied.

 

"I'm great" he said with a smile, he went on, "so today I'm going to be checking regular stuff. Height, weight, blood pressure, heartbeat, hearing, etc."

 

"Great!" I said sarcastically. 

 

He ignored me. As a pediatrician he got used to the biting remarks by annoyed teens. He then and ushered me to the door and down the hall to the scale. After about five minutes of doing exactly what he told me, he concluded that I was an appropriate weight for my size. We then returned to the room we originally met in. 

 

I turned away for a second and out of the corner of my eye I saw a weird flash. I turned to the Doctor with wide eyes and questioned, "What was that?"

 

With a demonic look on his face, he replied in a deeper, much scarier tone of voice, "Don't worry about it Jhonny." 

 

This scared me because first of all, Jhonny wasn't even my name. And if it was, how would he have known it. Did he guess it, or did he have another patient with that name. All these questions ran through my mind when I saw yet another flash. This one was straight ahead, it came through the Doctors mouth. 

 

He got a terrifying look on his face and started moving slowly towards me. I have never been this frightened in my life! In the heat of the moment  I screamed and jumped out the window. Luckily, the building was only one story so I could not injure myself to badly. 

 

I felt something bite my leg when I landed in the shrubs. I look down to see something not of this planet. A purple animal, no hair, purple and about the size of a Chihuahua. Thankfully, the teeth weren't to sharp. I kicked him away, I felt sort of bad considering I just hurt an animal, but I felt as if I had to. 

 

I kept moving. There was a highway in front of me, an elementary school to my left, and a woods to my right. I knew the safest option was to hide in the woods. As I got closer and closer, I got dizzier and dizzier. I immediately thought of the bite from the animal. It must of had some sort of.. toxin in it. I should really do som--

Opinions of Updates. 

 

Experimental Camera Speed

At first, I hated it! I immediately downvoted the original post and wrote and scathing comment on the replies section. But after having used the new camera speed for a few days, I've come to like it. Also, I believe people did what I did, read the post and without thinking hated it. But as Semyon said, get used to the update before you accuse the Dev team of being stupid. Another thing, people are complaining saying the update is making them miss shots they usually wouldn't. To me, this is just an excuse. I strongly disagree with the notion that this update makes you miss shots. Anyway, enough banter. I would rate this update a 7/10.
