Issue 1: Interview about Tanki's 6^th b-day

 

Here's your first question: How did you like the b-day? And was it missing anything?

This Tanki birthday should have been like the may holidays (with 50% discounts for sure).

 

I was not so interested with "The Game" also. And the bad thing is it is just 1 day for double battle funds and 6000 worth gold boxes.

I anticipated the event with much enthusiasm, but since I have been sick recently, I was only able to catch 1 6k Gold and a handful of double fund battles. However, those rewards plus my contest win allowed me to get my 5th M2 Turret: Firebird. My other account was able to purchase M1 Titan, Isida, and Twins, and other various minor stuff on other accounts. What was it missing? I probably would have preferred more days of Double Funds and 6k Golds, and I would have liked to have speed-up sales. But, nothing is perfect, and I am certainly happy with what they gave.

 

As for an all-round score, I think the event was very good.

The celebration of TO's 6th birthday was just amazing. I had been waiting for a 50% discount on the whole garage since the release of Hammer and Vulcan accompanied by their paints. Thanks to the huge offers, I managed to finally purchase Vulcan m3, Titan m3 and some great paints, such as Raccoon, Lumberjack, Picasso, Africa and Graffiti. I didn't spend much crystals to Micro-Upgrades, but I'll save up crystals for the next sale. I don't think anything was missing. We've been offered a huge sale on the whole garage, including Micro-Upgrades. We've had a sale on crystals bought via PayPal, mobile payment and credit cards. And we got one day with double fund and crystal boxes worth 6 000 crystals of which I managed to only catch one, unfortunately. So in short, the sale had it all. It was a perfect celebration for the 6th birthday of TO.

 

well i did and did not like it due to the gold drops should have been all week and i am finding that just before the big day, less golds dropped that week also not sure who programs the gold but on some servers theres more gold then others.. and also on lower servers were next to none for the sales yes there were good but it should be like gold boxes all week not for certain days ..the more days we have to get them then the more we would buy ..and if a player is just ranking to buy m2 and the sale ends that day before he ranks he loses out on the deals ..

 

i love the double card cash bonus that was worth every penny ..i love to get extra on top of what i buy ...

 

so in theary if we can have sales and gold for a week then it would bring in the sales for tanki to enjoy...

I liked the Tanki Online birthday celebration and I feel that the only thing it was missing was gold boxes for the lower ranks. Aside from that, I certainly enjoyed the double battle funds on 04 June.

Hello Mr.White! Actually, I didn't buy anything but I loved the holiday paint, it looked like a chocolate cake. Nothing was missing in it, it was just perfect! :)

This tanki b-day was not bad but could have been better. First of all, I think that the GAME could have lasted a bit longer but it was still fun. I don't micro-upgrade at all so I was indifferent to the 7 days of sales. I had a family outing on double battle fund/6k goldbox so I think that it should have been longer like May holidays because I had only one day to play and I missed both at the same time. I was able to buy m2 isida and m1/m2 hornet which was great. I had been saving for 6 months since new year so the discount didn't disappoint though it would have been better at 60% for the 6th birthday. the paint sale should have been AFTER the hull and turret discount because I wasn't totally sure how much crystals I would have left, so I didn't buy any paints and now I'm still using in love. The micro-upgrade sale seemed to be the highlight of the sale and I didn't like that. Overall, it wasn't a bad sale but, as I said before it could have been better: 7.5/10 points

Oh. Yes, it was missing something: FUN.

 

Sure, it's fun when you're in a Polygon battle and a Gold dropped every minute. But the fatal errors happening every 5 minutes aren't exactly what tankers cheer for. And then, micro-upgrades should have micro prices ok. Even with the 50% sale, fully upgrading ONE parameter of Railgun cost me 50k...next time, devs should hire Fen as stock exchange guy thingy. I know he can measure up to the requirements, and live up to his image. Devs should urge him to rise to the occasion. Yep.

 

Second question: about the MU, paint, hull & turret sales, was it satisfying? why or why not (even though it might be already answered)?

Satisfying? It was more than satisfying! With 5 new paint, 1 new turret, 1 new hull and some Micro-Upgrades on my new bought equipment, it has been the most satisfactory sale for me so far.

I'm saving for Railgun M2 for the next sale, and I didn't buy anything this sale.

 

I upgraded some of parameters for Railgun M1.

I didn't buy anything for the sale. I had already bought an M1 railgun a few weeks prior (which I now realize was stupid of me) and I only had about 10,000 crystals after ranking up.

 

yes but not really due to the cost, it was cheep on buying but if you wanted to upgrade fast i felt it still should have been cheaper ...or time for them to upgrade should have been faster so you could do more if you did not want to pay the fast rate...

 

in so in sence you pay one price to upgrade then the second to finish should have been cheaper in cost or faster in time

Yes, I loved the sales. I got to buy electra paint and twins m1. ^_^ However, the problem was that I wanted to buy Rail m2 which I couldn't :(

...Right. So, about the turret and hull sales (because for info on the MU sales you can simply stop being lazy and re-read the above paragraph). I didn't buy anything, mostly because I had everything M1 and nearly everything M2 (although I was planning on buying M2 Thunder, but boy do crystals empty fast when you buy MUs. And yes, that's me showing off right there)

The sales were satisfying though the order of sales, I think, could have been improved. 60% would've been nice but 50% is fine.

 

Third question: 1) before the birthday holiday arrived, what was you expecting out of it? 2) in case you participated in the GAME, was you unhappy of not winning crystals with the supplies?

 

ok first sales were good but could be better like the discounts could be for the week not for one day event also gold should drop more like for three days not one the upgrading or should be discounted also on the time it takes even though you can battle with them as they are upgrading if they would cut the time it took then more upgrades would have been done that week.. for the bonus crystals on purchasing it was fabulous

for the paints and hulls we needed to have maybe three days to be able to get them not one

2) I couldn't figure out how to join, I kept on trying but it said I needed an e-mail address and I couldn't find the place to fill it out.

1) I was expecting decos, sales, golds and double funds. I mean, really, holidays are pretty uninteresting these days. They give you a bunch of crys and a bunch of sales, and everyone's happy. Not me. I want FUN.

 

2)I didn't even win supplies! I went to watch a movie with my girl ~space~ friend, and when I came home it was 1.2 hours too late, and the game had ended. But it was worth it <3

 

All in all, the devs worked hard and came up with some great holidays, and I'm sure many tankers were satisfied, but honestly, its getting boring for me. The same fight-get crystals-buy-fight-get crystals-buy cycle of Tanki is a bit monotonous. Where's the chicken?!?!

1) I was expecting 50% off and the GAME and also multiple dbl battle funds, which didn't happen.

2) I participated in the GAME and I am quite satisfied as the GAME is my main source of supplies and I never buy any. this time I got 200 but last time I got 500 of each as a mistake . I don't they should change to crystals as it would make me feel as though I'm wasting crystals when I buy supplies.

 

Last question: For Tanki's 7^th b-day, what do you expect from it (like i.e. 2 weeks of goldbox)?

It is way too early to tell, but I am thinking they will introduce more 50% sales.

 

i would like to see like a week or even just two days before and the day of tanki birthday so in other words just three so others can get a chance not everyone could be on that day i only got on for 2 hours then offline for that whole day

 

i would also like to see the discounts be for more then just the weekend and must be for the week but time upgrade done faster for those who don't want to pay for speed upgrading like from 1 day

I'm surely expecting gold boxes worth 7 000 crystals and double funds, or maybe one day of triple funds. As for the sales, I guess they'll be the same as the sales we've just gotten, so 50% on the whole garage including micro-upgrades.

I expect that on 3rd and 5th June, Gold boxes worth 3000 would fall with double battle funds with 6000 worth on 4th June. And also that the Paint, Turret and Hull sales happen from 6-8 June altogether.

The formatting is fine as it is, though a minor improvement could have been to add a short intro and conclude the piece in some way. However, it's quite entertaining to read - I'm impressed. By far the best interview from the Writing Club I've read so far!
