Counting your blessings.

Hello & a very good day to you all :)

I thought up this topic after looking out at the weather & started to think " I wish sunny & the sky blue instead of grey & overcast with rain"

but then I corrected myself  & wondered what a blind person would of said to me?

 

Their reply would of been I`m sure "What can you see? can you see the grey sky, the flowers around you, the buildings, the street,  your own face even?

then you are truly blessed as I cant see anything but am thankful that I`m alive & who knows 1 day I might be able to see & enjoy what you are experiencing right now"

 

And do you know they are 100% CORRECT what have I got to complain about? & that goes for being able to walk by myself to the bathroom use the facilities normally go out on a trip without assisted help + use my hands, feet, legs mouth with no issues.

 

So many reasons why I have nothing to moan winged about at all really only because I choose to moan without any real justification at all simply for the sake of  complaining for a moment about something but I guess we all  guilty of forgetting how very blessed we are with what we have compared to others in this world & that goes for the sick, the homeless & those who are living in poverty & are starving like in Africa & the African people would say to me when they look at my life & home "but you live like a king and are rich" when in reality I`m not I would reply but live a humble life simple a nice house with a garden to plant vegetables & flowers & enjoy the sun * when we have it here in the UK*  ^_^

& those people in starving countries would still offer you the last food they have in order to show you kindness & hospitality & to welcome you into their home even if it meant them going without for while

but that`s what many people are like they show love & compassion  towards others with no conditions.

 

 

So it brings to ask dear tankers what blessings are you grateful for & why?

feel free to be as expressive as you wish long or short the choice is yours.

Blessed that I have my mom and dad. I know a lot of people who don't have a mom or dad (or even both)... I have a lot of respect for those people. That they keep being strong through life.

live each day to the fullest and treasure one and all ,..

 

due to we all touch people in so many different ways that you never know when you might need to lean on someone in the near future or down the road for help

im from NORTHERN IRELAND

im 59yrs old and witnessed most of the terrible times this tiny country suffered

it was at a time a few years back a daily thing of bombings and shootings

i personally witnessed a bomb exploding under an army van at a fun run in the city i live in called LISBURN

it is something i would never want any of you here to witness

it still haunts me now seeing those poor guys suffering terrible injurys and death

 

we have some peace here now thankfully

 

blessed now that we dont live here in fear anymore

 

i feel the pain of people in this world involved in war

their has to be a better way of resolving conflicts in these countries

 

i pray for the innocent people caught up in the fighting

 

 

so guys feel blessed for having peace wherever you are
