[Issue 2] [Story] How Parma Came to Be [UN]

Parma. A Star Ladder Television (SLTV) map requiring great skill to conquer. A map that held many important SLTV battles. But how did it originate?

 

September 7, 2027. 21:00. 

 

"March, army!" General Dimitry Tarinv's voice echoed as we, the Russian army, marched through the barren, deserted beach near the Adriatic Sea and through Ravenna on our route to Parma, Italy. We had attacked Italy. As we marched through the city of Ravenna, we encountered an army. An Italian army. The country had been alerted. General Dimitry ordered, "Attack! Destroy this army!"

 

I stopped the army, and ordered to shoot the Italian army. Tanks from our army shot, releasing powerful tank bullet shells. But they seemed to do no damage. But what appeared to happen was an illusion. Only the Italian army's remains of shrapnel were left now, as the tanks exploded into shrapnel. Both our armies marched towards Parma.

 

An hour later, we reached our destination. Parma. As we came closer to Parma's new football stadium, we sensed danger. What could be attacking us at 22:00? That was one question in my mind. And suddenly, my tank shook. It had been attacked. Attacked by a miniature army of 100 Italian tanks. None of the one hundred tanks were farther than 100 metres away from us. General Dimitry ordered to shoot the tanks, and each one of our army of one thousand tanks obeyed. But they were seemingly invincible. The Italian army shot us. Bullets had been released from each one of the 100 tanks of the Italian army. Each bullet hit us. Each bullet destroyed one of our tanks. 

 

I went closer, only to get hit. I saw the tank that hit me. A tank everybody feared. The Dictator M4. I went dangerously close to the Dictator. It seemed strangely familiar. I shot it and destroyed it. The crew had survived. I saw the commander of the Dictator M4, and one look at him shocked me. 

 

I had been betrayed. 

 

Russia had been betrayed. 

 

The commander was my brother.

 

Angrily, I fired a rapid series of shots, destroying almost all of the tanks in the Italian army. Two had survived. And those two shot our army rapidly, and slowly started to destroy us. The two tanks came closer to us, and survived each shot that hit them, except one specific shot.

One tank still survived. And it shot one tank, and destroyed it. I felt like someone important had been killed. I recognized the tank, only to be shocked again.

 

It's General Dimitry's tank.

 

I now felt the he's still alive. Angrily, I shot the tank that destroyed General Dimitry's tank, destroying it. I shot a nearby building, only to hit another Italian tank who came in the way of the bullet to protect Parma. 

 

Our army started to move back towards Russia victoriously. We had done what we had to do. We started to march back. 

 

                                                                                                         

 

September 8, 2027

 

"Start construction of map Parma! I want it built by tomorrow!" Colonel Vasily Novirs, who was the Tanki manager at the time, ordered to the map construction team. He gave the map's construction plan to the team. Obeying the order, the team started construction. Thanks to the team's hardwork, digging of the map area had ended in just one hour and construction of the main map had begun. (The map wasn't underground, but simply created a meter below ground)

 

                                                                                                          

 

September 9, 2027. 

 

The release of map Parma in Tanki was a huge change to the sport. Construction of the map had ended, and it had been released. At 13:00, the release of the map had been announced. "Today, I, Colonel Vasily Novirs, announce the release of the map Parma. I name the map Parma after the city of Italy our army attacked, two days ago. The map named Parma has been released. The first battle in the map can begin now!"

Slightly bemused as to how this map was introduced in the future. Clearly I need to get out more. Didn't realise it's already 2027.

 

All joking aside, positives in the writing, clearly a Kevred-wannabe but aren't we all. Little bit of work on grammar and plot could do with a little bit of building but there's promise, nice one.
