Experimental Camera Speed

Thats not the point,i think 90% railgun users play XP/BP battles.I only find railguns in RU1 or sometimes RU2.In simple battles,i sometime see a railgun.

And how many people only play xp?

As far as i am concern it is creating hell lot of dizziness, like you feal when you play too long games like twisted metal from old times, its just too much dizziness and one more thing i am not sure if its coz of this update, but i am fealing hell lot of leg and rise in ping since this update is installed, usully i play for 3-4 hour more, but i need rest after playing 3 hour, coz i am fealing like puke, and headache..

Alright, I played a battle today after like two weeks... It was of course, XP since that's all I play tank for. I noticed something odd which was making me miss shots time and again. After asking people on the server chat, I found out this had happened.

Played for 18 minutes and had to pull the Panadol out.  This new sped-up camera just makes me dizzy.

 

No game is worth a headache every time you play it.

 

 

Last word of advice, fix this or most will leave.

Test server is just for devs...(thats why semyon is not ranking up) :ph34r: .They dont test updates in it..

I am also going to buy some Panadols...but i think dev's need it more..

I will be honest Semyon,it doesnt require days to test it,the first shot i did while spinning the turret and i couldnt hit the enemy,when i try to go backwards to catch the flag i just start driving sideways,this camera speed is also hurting to the eye,feels like it sends you in some sort of trance ( i mean,i start to look at the screen like i was blind)

No thanks sir, The test server is there for quite a great reason :)

You cant just change something that was there for a long time and say

 

"Its what we want, get along with it" :)

  We cant handle the headache for a couple of days

 

Why dont you try playing for a while :)

I seriously don't get it. What's up with you guys? You devs clearly bring updates or experiments that greatly affect our gameplay that most of us are going to hate on. Are you guys that stupid to not know? We have been using this camera speed since the start of the game, and you just bring a new drunk speed?

 

 

What do you mean "spend some time playing"? Are we your experiment rats? We clearly CAN'T play with this noob speed properly, seriously you guys need to use your lives somewhere else, not bringing garbage. You can't fix what's not broken.

Today, as an experiment, we have increased the camera speed for turret rotation. The change has affected both the traditional controls layout, and the mouse controls.

More speeds than just one got changed

Changing up and down speed did IMO not cause the problem.

Standard speed of this was 0.5 and it is now 0.7. 

This is changable by replacing "vars.set cam_vspeed 0.5" standard 0.5 with another value.

Tried this before and personally found even 1.0: which is twice as fast as normal to be enjoyable.

 

Nope, the problem is the change to the camera catch-up speed they have made.

This is causing I think acceleration and certainly the deceleration of the camera at the beginning and

at the end of the camera movement.

The camera lags/******s at the end just before it reaches it 's endpoint.

 

The fix would be IMO to keep the camera at a constant speed.

No more "catching up" effects that are causing slight nausea by your mind continuously

trying to keep up with the multiple changing camera speeds.

If you master the new camera view. Your long distance aim will improve. I didn't believed it at the beginning but when you start practicing with this you will get eventually better.
