Experimental Camera Speed

Can I just remind you this is just an experiment it will most likely be removed due to the downvotes on both EN and RU forum topics.

what experiment ???

please excuse me for the off-topic, but we were talking about the eventual wipe of the accounts and achievements, if a player switches from TO Flash to TO Unity, which transfer will happen relatively soon - this is much more serious, than the issues with the camera !

It makes me dizzy.

I can't play on my mac with a big screen.  It's not too bad on my lap top (smaller screen).

I think it's when there's a lag that makes it bad.

The developers should try testing it out on an old slower computer.

Just a thought

The only thing that bothers me about this experiment is that it's been making me lag badly at times, I haven't really noticed a difference in the camera speed. I hope they remove it soon though because i'm trying to rank up to Brigadier before the Tanker's day sale in September and the lag has discouraged me from playing as much as I usually do.

Tankers!

Today, as an experiment, we have increased the camera speed for turret rotation. The change has affected both the traditional controls layout, and the mouse controls.

We would like to know whether you like this new settings. Enter Tanki Online, try out the experimental camera speed and share your impressions in the comments below.

My FPS was always pretty low when playing this game. Then came the new anti-cheat system. For some reason, that made my FPS not only slower, but also made it so that I can't go ten seconds without having the frames just stop for at least half a second. Extremely inconvenient when playing in fast-paced battles. And then came this update. I now cannot do well at all in battles. In fact, now this game (for me) can be summed up by one word: UNPLAYABLE.  Seriously. I can't even play at all now because of an insanely low FPS and constant lag. Didn't you, in one of your most recent V-Logs, name the last changes that this game would go through before focusing on developing the Unity version? I am positive that this was not one of them. Absolutely positive. It was also stated that no changes other than the ones stated would happen. Also, people are expecting the Daily Missions system soon, which was estimated to be finished a while ago. I understand that there could easily have been delays. However, maybe the "delay" would have been extremely shortened or even non-existent if you had not focused energies into making this update that you practically promised wouldn't happen.

I have always been supportive of the updates that you guys rolled out, even some of the more unpopular ones, thinking that all of them would prove themselves to be, shall we say, worthy of being in the game. However, some recent updates have got me thinking otherwise. This is one of them. You claim that the recent decline of players is seasonal, and I totally hope that is true. But it might not be. It could easily be because of the recent changes to the game, which have even made me want to stop playing this game. Once again, I hope it is otherwise and actually because of the summer season. I could very soon become one of those people leaving the game because of the quality change. The way to reverse this is to try out updates carefully before you implement them. Try them out yourselves. Put them on the test server and actually listen to the players' feedback in the comments. Think through such changes before you even begin to test them out. Ask yourselves questions such as:

How will this affect gameplay?

Which also should include the more specific questions:

How will this affect gameplay on lower end devices? They want to play too.

How will this affect gameplay on higher end devices?

How will this affect gameplay for those with slower internet speeds?

How will this affect gameplay for those with faster internet speeds?

Will this actually improve or decrease the quality of the game?

What are the chances of this update actually being popular among the players?

Please, please, PLEASE think through what I have said. I have always thought this is a wonderful game, and I want it to stay that way. I don't want it to get ruined for any reason at all, and I am sure many others think the same as well.

Sincerely, genak138

I had to take two days due to headaches caused by motion sickness.

When I stopped playing Tanki, the headaches went.

It was supposed to be for one day. This is a very bad update.

I can now play only 15 minute battles then I have to take a very long break.

This update is ok, because right around the time I start throwing up, my sister is kicking me off the computer. Now that I can't hit anyone anymore, I will be able to enjoy my current rank longer. Honestly, this camera effect has destroyed somthing about the game that I really liked. It feels more like I'm playing a tank game than like I'm actually driving my tank. After putting as much time and money into tanki as I have, I am afraid that tanki will change from what I liked about it in the first place.

this update is AWESOME

I am using wasp m3 with rail m3 during XP, and with this update I can only move faster in the map and my aiming has improved. I seriously do not understand why everyone is whining so much about this change.....

dizziness? yes, only the first couple of minutes for some, hours for some others, but eventually it goes away!!!!

please  DO NOT REMOVE THIS UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!
