In my neighborhood once a week comes a young woman, skinny, low with glasses. Not a classic beggar and she does not look dirty and messy.

Once a week, going from door to door she is asking with feel of shame (as I can see in her eyes and in her voice) if whoever has food to give her. She never ask for money, never, only for food. She is going with a bag from door to door and asking...But I secretly put a little money in the bag that I give her.

I prepared a bag with some my old t-shirts, old shoes, but everything is clean, and some soaps...like a package. If she wants to take it...I do not know yet.

 

The first time I was deeply affected...And when I come here and read how some kids are praised because parents give them thousands of dollars on a video game that create inside me anger and disgust, because I remember that young women.
