Gold Box: Mult-like players are ineligible

If you're trying then there is no reason why your work rate should be less than 55% of the average of the other players on your team.

I think about these things before I post them. Don't assume that it's that easy to defeat. It's a well thought out idea.

Yeah, well, there is always somebody who has to be in last, right? If you're in last, you're probably going to have less then 55% of your team's average score. This is especially true if you're the only one not drugging. This may not be the case at your rank, but at my rank, the people in last have significantly lower scores than the people in first. Especially because people are joining the battle all the time.

 

And I know you think about your ideas before you post them. I have read your other ideas, and they are most definitely thought out well. This one, however... Not nearly as much as most of your ideas.

I feel it may also be fair to incorporate a time limit. Make it so you are not able to grab a gold box if you have not been in the battle for at least 5 minutes and also have not reached a minimum score. This would stop players from just roaming around hunting gold boxes.

 

But this is all just hypothetical because Tanki promotes gold box hunting and will never put something in place that will eliminate something they promoted. Just wait long enough and they will have a pass that you will need to buy to catch gold boxes.  :wacko:

You don't get it. There is more than one average to consider. It's not just based from score so players joining have nothing to fear just as long as they perform to a higher standard to that of a mult.

No need for time limits. With this suggestion, players need to be registering a score if they want to take it.

Well, i don't know if I am surrounded with noobs, but everytime when I play any battle, I always have highest score at the end, and always catch the gold first. Don't complain a lot, you're gonna just ruin it it even more, real skills come from personal experience to this game, and over years you will get used to it, but if you constantly ask for changes, then of course you won't satisfie everyone, and just do it again and again. I am playing tanki from 2010, and this game is great as it is now, but in last 3 months this game so much changed, that I couldn't imagine. It didn't change like this last 2 years as it is now. Look what have you done. Players are going to start to leave this game one by one. My suggestion about this topic is: just shut up and play. Didn't you notice that all you do is complain? If yes then stop it. And goodbye.

I don't, I am just saying that this game started to intensively change. I don't play it alot, but when I do I often see something is changed, but I don't mind that, because I always be first in battle. And I don't care if you're gonna ruin this game. Goodbye

Ruin? It's already being ruined. There are just as many unfair battles than there are fair ones. The more we can clean it up the better. Don't attack my suggestion because of all the other useless updates and changes that tanki have brought out.

I would make 1 small correction to this comment.

Ruin? It's already being ruined. There are just as many more unfair battles than there are fair ones. The more we can clean it up the better. Don't attack my suggestion because of all the other useless updates and changes that tanki have brought out.

Currently when a gold box falls, everyone is eligible to take it.

This includes those who join battles who do nothing except ask the question, "Gold yet?"

 

Let's make a change so that only those who are contributing can take the box.

It's quite simple and it works in a similar way to the Kick2 suggestion. (The most liked suggestion in tanki)

 

Read this carefully...

1. Get the Mean score for the players on your side.

2. Get the Mean work rate for the players on your side. (requires time spent in battle)

Only players who have achieved 55% or more of either Mean are allowed to take the Gold.

 

Those who don't meet the required score or work rate are exhibiting mult-like behaviour and therefore not allowed to get the box.

 

This will only encourage players to participate and contribute.

Why not put the gold box in a "reserve" once it is picked up and if the person who picked it up doesn't meet certain requirements by the end of the round then the box is forfeit and added to the battle fund instead? This would totally discourage multing if they ended up losing the box.

I like Absolute Zero 's idea a lot.

 

I don 't want the Goldbox to be removed, it is an exciting element of the game.

If his idea doesn 't get implemented I believe another,

more basic solution to Gold multing would be to make Gold fall totally random.

 

Still with a warning, but as soon as the alarm sounds the Gold is being dropped.

No more time inbetween.

 

A decent Goldhunter who does participate in battles will surely not agree with this:

my response would be: why must the guys with mostly Dictators always take

the Gold? What 's fair about that?

It 's not that the Dictator is a useless hull in normal battles, so why this huge

Gold-catching advantage over other hulls?

 

No, it will be simply a matter of luck who is in the vicinity of the fast falling Gold.

In this case everyone has an equal chance of getting Gold and multing

for Gold would become useless instantly.

NEW?!?! Gold hunters have been around for years (since gold box was added) and I must say that when the gold box dropped at every 700 crystals fund, the sabotage from people entering battles to catch it was a LOT worse than now.

you know that doesn't work anymore :(

What if someone joins the battle and the gold falls immediately? I think it would be unfair for them.

 

Maybe, if we have played for a long time and don't meet the requirements then we CAN take the gold box but the crystals won't be given to him! Neither it would come that he took it. It would be added to the battle fund. :)

 

And if we have played for a very short time BUT don't meet the requirements then we CAN take the gold box. :)

Hello everyone from War-Blade! As the problems with mults are bigger each day, i wanted to share something about mults with you. I have always preferred CTF but i discovered with my teammates that in the CP mod fund grows better , so we started to play just CP. It is fun and u can get more crystals that at the CTF or DM... In game- there was always problem with mults, and devs have fix it with kick system but it was not fair,'cause devs created kick system with some problems , so they kicked it from the game... Now mults are everywhere... I play Tanki just to relax but when i join to game i just become more angry 'cuz of them!! I cant play as well, moderator never come when u call it, kick system is not anymore in game, and mults can easily make fun of u 'cause u cant do nothing for them! If i dont join with my teammeates, in this case 8 of them ( 'cuz i prefer, and always play Pyligon CP), we can play normal games 'cause of mults.. i lost many crystals because them! On Q&A there is about 1000 questions, minimum 300 about mults and how to solve that issue, but devs always answer only some stupid questions,not those relevant for the game! What do I gain with data that the ricochet, hammer and railgun are the most used weapons!?? Please answer me on this question seriously! It is all about money in this game!! If we record mult who dont play for 15 minutes,mod responds us that it is not enough proof to take action.. yeah, mult have to sabotage about 2 or 3 days to take action, ha? Trust me if u dont fix that for about 1 year you will have about 1000 player who will mult to each other wink emoticon Here is one of my 20 pictures of mults

I think he is mult, what do u think ... also he played with hornet m3 and hammer m0.. there was another guy ( 15200100 ) who has joined with cedar , thunder and hornet without a little of MU, and he is gismo yeah.. he also just write GOLD BOX , GOLD BIL, GOLD GOLD!!

I have played to an average of about 1500 XP every day for nine months, and I keep a logbook in Tanki.  Now I see that it is four weeks since I got a Gold Box, the longest since I started the record.  It has been two weeks since I have even seen a Gold Box; there is just the notice that the box is about to drop followed by the "XXXXXX has captured the Gold Box".  Gold Boxes do not add much to my game here.

I totally agree to this suggestion. Well, those who don't have at least 55% of the average work-rate/score might not be mults or saboteurs, they might be useless members, or gold-box hunters. I hate people who just come for the gold box asking on chat whether gold box fell. Most of the time, people who have been integral playmakers for their team lose the chance of the gold box and some nobody gets it. I lost 6 gold boxes on my secondary account when I was leading the leaderboard of the battles.

In fact, despite being a table-topper for most of my Tanki career, I have got only 3 gold boxes, 2 in Rio and 1 in Dusseldorf..

This should be implemented.

This problem is getting out of hand.

Absolutely! Since the battle fund is what generates the gold box then the gold box should be added to the fund in some way.

 

In fact to encourage the players to actually play not only should the gold box be put in reserve but it should be applied 50% to the player who captures it and 50% to the team if the team wins. This way it still encourages gold hunters but doesn't reward them unless they help the team win. (Or perhaps the distribution between picker and team could be based on the picker's score - a player with a higher score would get more of the gold box - a player with a low score would get less. As an example if your team wins and you are the top scorer then you could get 100% of the gold box - a player with score of 0 would get nothing from it).

 

If the player who picked it up ends up not playing then it is likely his team will lose and he should get nothing for getting the gold box (if the team loses then the gold box is forfeit - it would not be distributed to the other team since they failed to get it).

 

In a way also it makes it strategic to get the gold box if your team is losing.

One question, how do you plan to prevent people from takimg the gold box? What would the system look like?

Any way you want it. How about you touch it and self destruct.

The idea will never be implemented anyway but that shouldn't stop us presenting solutions to existing problems in the game.

 

mults and playing solely for gold boxes are a massive problem at every level of the game with the exception of recruit maybe. High time tanki deals with it.
