there are many people who,before they start game read gaming sites to inform about particular game..not all of course,but possible customers do,and that's what matters most..people will know what happened here (if they decide that ALL players start from scratch)..do you really think that possible buyer will spend money in game which will eventually erase their all progress (judging on expirience of players who used to play it)???

They will already have to deal with a rather small group of players who will be willing to transfer to TO Unity IF they do a big wipe.

 

Above this I agree with you that the negative publicity created by such a wipe will have a huge backfire on

getting new players/customers for sure.

 

Besides it 's not that Tanki Online is the only game online...plenty of others and as it is starting to seem:

much more reliable gamesites.

 

TO might defend itself by claiming that they take care of their customers by retaining the old TO flash, like they

already do by their loyal staff members, but the Internet is very good in exposing the truth:

 

TO Flash is a dead end, it always was because it 's simply based on the dying game engine Flash: nothing 's gonna change that.

With minimal retaining support, new/more hacks, it 's inherent bugs and glitches and more players going out than coming in it has

a bright future I guess...

The EULA does narrow what can be done against such a radical thing if Tanki does it, but the law still exists... Even if the EULA says so, it's illegal to be payed by someone, to give him something, and then to take it from him. That's called renting, and it's not the case here.

I read somewhere that accounts we are playing on aren't actually ours..staff can confirm my words I beleive..they are property of the game,and they can easily be taken away..hope some of the staff members reads my post and will confirm..that's the sad part

To make a long story short, I tell you that I am a small buyer.

But, unlike some spoiled brats that like to crash everybody else, I believe even non buyers have the right to enjoy this game. Tanki administration though, does not share this belief.

 

Finally, I don't say that buyers don't invest in effort and skill, that's what you "see" when you read what I wrote. I refer only to money to show what they (top buyers) have to lose, unlike non buyers.

Should Tanki deletes our garages, that will be a fact, not an opinion. :)

I have many times said that I am a buyer. A small one. But it's a matter of principle that in a game all its participants must be able to feel joy. Otherwise it's not a good game. That means that even non buyers should win sometimes. But with all the power sold to top buyers that's impossible.

That's why I don't accuse certain players but Tanki itself. The problem comes from Tanki selling distinctly all four elements of power (Modifications, MUs, paints and supplies). Thus, top buyers acquire a multiplied power engine that is indestructible. Which in turn, screws gamebalance totally.  :wacko:

It might be illegal if you have a thriving company/game.

 

Besides TO is not going to delete or wipe or TO account(s).

Nope, our TO Flash account(s) will remain "save" and untouched.

 

Our TOF account(s) will remain untill eternity or for how much longer TO Flash will exist...

If TO Flash will detoriate (IMO it will) and therefore TO or better Alternativa company is loosing money on it:

it suddenly becomes totally legal to pull the plug, as it is for any company that is loosing money on a product,

which could result in a bankruptcy.

 

TO Unity accounts will be new, so technically and legally TO/Alternativa can do as it pleases.

Not talking about any moral issues here obviously.

 

If you don 't believe me that 's ok and I hope some guys will take it to Court, but it 's just a wild guess: that won 't happen.

 

No, IMO for now we can only hope for some common sense, maybe even some business morality, at Alternativa company.

That 's the catch: they won 't scrap your TO Flash accounts. 

 

You never earned/bought totally new TO Unity accounts: they simply have got the law at their side.

 

Let 's just see what it does with existing and future customer satisfaction. ;)

The funny thing is that, I was considering pursharing crystals as saying "thank you TO", first I lost my desicion with some points which they don't do anythink, now I decided not to do if they do this!

Well, judging from the so far attitude of certain Devs, there's nothing to surprise you here.

No respect, no honesty, no interest. Certainly, no customer care department.

 

The Transfer-to-Unity matter is two-fold. There is a technical aspect and a moral aspect.

 

The technical aspect is interesting. Unity based TO will be a new game, to speak clearly. MAFIOZA121 said there will be no ranks and that's a huge difference in relation to Flash TO. How will the experience be measured? What will be the criteria for acquiring new items / modifications? What other differences will be there?

According to the answers (that are not clear yet) maybe this new direction solves a few issues of Flash TO, such as false / unexisting seperation between newbies and veterans.

So from this aspect we wait to hear what's going to happen and what kind of game this new Tanki is going to be.

 

The moral aspect.. well.. won't make people happy.

Investments in time, effort and money going down the toilet. Dishonesty from Administration and greed during the last not-so-few months towards players, unacceptable tolerance of extreme unbalance (quite profitable for Tanki nevertheless) and dominion of top buyers over all other players, all these just for nothing. Old Tanki left to rot, going to the trash can.

Is new Tanki going to be like that? Milking the players hard in order for them to replace all they had in old game? Or are the Devs going to make a new start more fair and balanced?

For there is a certain moral issue here, and that is: all those that based their "career" in Tanki on money and not skill or fun, are going to lose big time. Because they forget that what's important in gaming is having fun and not builting in possessions.

The hated "Buyers" are hated for 2 things:  They can change the course of the battle with their amazing tanks.  They have the money to spend.

 

I don't know any person who buys crystals and is a total noob.  That's right, no one.  But, there is countless nugs running around at Field-Marshal that are cussing out "Buyers" for having such an awesome tank that can barely rotate their turret.

 

Buyers also are the reason Tanki's servers are still up.  Ever thought about how much it costs to keep up 30+ Servers?  A lot of money mate.  And buyers like me help to keep Tanki's doors open and servers up.

Who says you invested any more effort than I?  Who says you have more skills (I guarentee you do NOT)?  Who says you'll advance "Faster" than Buyers?  Please grow a brain. Those statements don't agree with each other, and you really are heading down a one way path.

 

I have invested 12 months, (First of all you can't invest "skill".  That is only your attempt at getting another reason to you bashing of buyers)...I've invested my time and my patience with this game, and because I can, I've invested a fair amount of money.  I wouldn't have spent a cent of money if I had no skills or the game was not fun or useless, I spent because I was a really good players and I realized that getting Star Ladder equipment and going to Star Ladder was my destiny.  I didn't want to be the some what skilled, but M2 guy running around at Field Marshal, or worse at Generalissimo. 

 

If you still feel like buyers are always noobs that will advance slower (Even though they have more skill than non-buyers at playing), go play with a few "buyers".  Play names like me, Lankbouv, Mr.Dirty, GriZzlyMagnum, LordVoIdimort (doesn't buy a lot but is payed), Mr.Dreyar, PAKISTANII etc.  Are you getting the picture?  FOUR of those are All Kind members....Also known as, highly skilled beasts.  I'm pretty sure almost all of AK, DK, TG, and all other Top EN Teams are buyers, because face it, how do you play in SL without M3 Hunter (214,700), Savannah (129900), M3 Viking (195600), Needle (210,000), Digital (79000), Tundra (35500), and Tiger (175000), and for some M3 Smoky (268600).

Who cares about customer? EULA explain all. In 'my time' EULA wasnt mandatory and I complained about that few times. Now, EULA is obligatory but who read that? Kindergarten kids with stolen mom credit card barely know to do math and older (working/employed users) still use torrents for programs but SPEND REAL MONEY for Online game? Who cares about them!! Give Tanki money for suport and they 'effort' to make game better but not hundred and hundreds for drugs and ripoff MU! I need unique M4 look for that ammount of crystals!! Support is just FAIL. After all this years and with HI speed net they dont know how to properly setup servers? Bravo for that. Go and give them more money for holidays or weddings on Hawaii. Or go and buy a lot on Mars. Back on Topic. I want new Unity engine becouse Adobe Flash is almost (i wish) dead but I want that all of my data to be transferred. And of course, new rules about saboteurs and mults. tanki online is very simple and stil you can do much things,
