I know, right?!  It feels like a restriction that your browser puts on you to annoy you.  Going to download Mozilla in a few days because a friend has that and says it lets her quote.

Alright friend, I use Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.  Neither one allows for quoting.  I even tried using the button to quote you for this reply, but it didn't work.

So a guy gets hit by a sniper a couple of times and starts swearing like a human sailor on the chat box.  Not to anyone in particular (friends, for example), just cursing the world over because he was defeated..  I can see what great potential that has for starting a conversation!

Tanki is never going to eliminate supplies.  They are essential in Starladder fights, and really only about 5% of tankers disagree with their existence.  I didn't say that only 5% of tankers don't use them, I said that 5% don't AGREE with them.  How are you going to get rid of something that 95% of players like and use?

I'm not going to get into an argument about the supplies.  I am currently working on an article entitled "In Defense of Supplies" which will be released within the next two weeks.  Every half-baked excuse to get rid of them will be examined and debunked.

Yeah, politics is not allowed in the forum.  But insults and profanity aren't allowed either.  Still the lawless among us figure out a way to discuss it.

I brought politics up to say that I disagree with the discussion of politics but stay silent and TOLERANT to other's political opinions.  If I want them to stop talking about it, I don't tell them to shut up, I find another server where notanki is talking about it.

TADA, I was comparing this to anti-supply tankers.  Instead of guilt-tripping kit users, they could utilize the options that Tanki has made available to them and find their little happy place, away from all those mean old supplies.

Everyone has there ways I suppose :3

Thats only an opinion. No one expected tanki to get rid of crystal boxes but WHooooop there gone right before everyones eyes.

Your not going to start an argument about drugs yet your going to right an article about why there so great..? alright then. hypocrisy at its finest.

Again, what was the purpose of bringing up politics..? I never said anything about politics. Kinda random...

Alright, now your just being rude. If someone doesnt want to use drugs, and is against them, WHO ARE YOU to say that they should drug anyway? and yes, in your article you questioned why people don't use drugs which was rather ignorant.

Honestly, why don’t you use them?

If I have to stand up for the 5% that disagree with the usage and presence of drugs, so be it. You can down vote my posts, you can insult me, but I will never back down for the respect that those people deserve. (I never said I am one of them, I use drugs occasionally myself, unlike most people though, I believe that people who have an opinion that differs from mine, should still be respected)

How on Earth did you figure out how to quote using Google Chrome?  I tried forever!  Now I'm jealous.

It's not an opinion, it's a logical observation.  Would Tanki eliminate something the vast majority wants?

Yes, they would, for one reason: if it's hurting the spirit of the game.  Crystal Boxes upset team battles because the team members would prance around grabbing them instead of keeping their heads in the game.  Since most battles are team battles, this was upsetting most of Tanki.  For the sake of the game, away with the crystal boxes.  Although I do miss them, I respect Tankionline's logical decision to eliminate them, because it was indeed logical and good for the game.

I don't START arguments, but I always finish them.  And I'm not going to finish this one because it would be a waste of time, since I will be writing an article about it later that will cover all possible outcomes of the argument (and if I miss anything, I can always mop up in the comments section).

READING COMPREHENSION, pal.  Did you read and comprehend the last three statements in my previous reply?  If not, I can't help you because you aren't trying to understand.

If someone likes drugs, and is for them, WHO ARE YOU to try to get rid of them?  Scratch that - if ALMOST EVERYONE likes drugs, why are you going to eliminate them?

I respect the opinion of the majority.  The majority says yes to keeping supply kits in this game.

Did I mention that this is a GAME?  If you want to be religiously passionate about something, I hear they have a lot of stuff going on over in the "Real Life" department.

You press the quote button... If its not working for you oh well not much I can do.

I understand that the vast majority wants to keep supplies. And I respect that. The problem is, many people dont respect that some people dont want drugs to be in the game. You don't see them running around screaming about how tanki will be corrupt if they don't get rid of drugs... If your still convinced that you only have to respect the majority, than fine. Do what you please. As you said earlier, "freedom of speech"... I might as well not waste my time

I know why and how crystal boxes got removed and I think it was by far one of the best decisions tanki ever made... I could argue that drugs hurt the spirit of the game by allowing hulls and turrets to do what they weren't designed to do. Mammoths arnt ment to be fast, and wasps arnt ment to have the same amount of hp as a hunter or viking or whatever.

Perhaps people who want to get rid of drugs entirely are low in numbers, but people who want to limit drugs more are definitely a strong and noticeable group of people. Based on my experience, approximately  25% - 30% of people who play want more limitations on drugs. If you really wanted a percentage.

Unlike you at the moment, I respect the opinion of everyone. Which is ultimately the true and correct thing to do morally.

When did I get religiously passionate about anything..?

I like you. You actually know how to argue and make some valid points. You also arn't arrogant enough to question why im using white text, which most people would do at this point.

White text?  I'd use blue text if Internet Explorer would let me!  This browser is killing me!

We are getting dangerously close to flaming.  My article (does anytanki remember the article?) was originally about how to play better, and here we are.  If you want to continue discussing the supply debate, please wait until I publish "In Defense of Supplies."  Safer that way.

"If I have to stand up for the 5% that disagree with the usage and presence of drugs, so be it.  You can downvote my posts, you can insult me, but I will never back down for the respect that those people deserve."

How very Nathan Hale of you.  *clap clap clap*   #religiouslypassionate

HERE'S A POINT WE CAN AGREE ON:  everyone has an opinion and a right to express that opinion.  My saying that I respect the opinion of the majority was the best way I could find at the time to say "What the crowd wants is what happens."

I do not believe that the opinion of 5% should outweigh the opinion of 95%.  Humans, however, seem to live by that paradox.  I guess I keep forgetting this whole internet thing is originally human territory.

LIMITING drugs is an entirely different discussion, and is one that only the developers and game theorists can have with any measure of authority.  How much does one limit the supplies?  No player can answer that because we don't have access to essential performance data, like what Tanki used in the most recent update that shortened the Repair Kit cooldown time.

So you're in a Wasp and a nearby Mammoth grabs a Speed Boost.  Unfair, right?

Not if you grab your own Speed Boost.

And as for quoting, a friend suggested I try Mozilla Firefox instead of the silliness I have been using.  She can quote at will just like anytanki else.

But then again, Google Chrome won't let me quote, yet it lets you quote.  Maybe I should take my module to the magician's lab for an inspection....

Alright friend, I use Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.  Neither one allows for quoting.  I even tried using the button to quote you for this reply, but it didn't work.

That'll explain a lot.

Using both IE and Chrome leads to what I like to refer to as 'Explorer Syndrome'

You see, for about two weeks when my Chrome wasn't working, I was using Internet Explorer. I couldn't quote with it, it got really irritating.

When my Chrome was back in ops, I used both browsers in Tandem, and to my amazement I wasn't able to quote with Chrome either, something I could use quite easily uptil that point.

Then, my analysis led me to conclude that IE was leading to the problem and I stopped using it. One week later - voila! I could quote again.

Then, I dumped IE and installed Mozilla Firefox. That is the best combination ever with Google Chrome. So, if you want to download it, full steam ahead, I say!
