"Spectator mode" using camera settings

Does this work on the downloaded version of Tanki?

Not sure, but I think it works on any Flash version. It doesn't give you the exact same movement of freedom that actual spectator mode does, but it's still quite versatile.

It's best to use another account for taking pictures of your tank. :)

Use mouse controls, hold right click and turn your camera. The turret will stay in place as long as you're holding the mouse button.

What are all the things that you can do? I know maxmove and vspeed, what else?

That's it. As far as I know, the other ones have no noticeable effect when players use them.

Okay, thanks. Would you mind writing any that you know, even if they have no noticeable effect?

Recently I was trying to fix my vertical speed with the command vars.set cam_vspeed 1.7 but it's not working, the command prompt is saying that the command is removed. Is there a new command or how can I fix my vertical speed?

Not sure. It's been a while since I used that command. I mostly use cam_maxmove

Yeah I use that too but I use vspeed command in order to have the old camera setting when I play. Now I checked and it is removed from the vars.list. Can you ask the administration if this will be fixed?

I doubt I'll get an answer anytime soon, but I can almost guarantee you that nothing will be done. A negligible amount of players use (well, used) this feature, so it's not worth fixing. Also, Flash is getting replaced by HTML5 anyway, so perhaps camera controls will become official settings soon.

I wonder how the spec mode thing is going to work on HTML ?

It won't. When Flash is closed, I'll archive this topic.

wait they aren't going to implement it on html?

It was basically a side effect of the flash console panel. Devs decided to enable it because there was no harm in letting players use the feature. But if anything like that is added in HTML5, it will be a full-on user friendly cinematic camera and/or spectator mode, rather than some wonky and inconvenient tool that's used via specific console commands. But I really doubt it will be made.
