Gift codes to redeem Crystals

Hello,


I think that there should be more Tanki Merchandise. So, there should be gift codes to redeem crystals.


So, gift codes can be purchased from stores and from online.


Example:

5000 crystals for $5.99


Steps to redeem the crystals:


S1:There should be a page to redeem crystals. Go to that, it'll ask your username and password.


S2:Click "Redeem", then, you have to put an 11 digit code, e.g 45718181036 and put your email


S3:Click "Activate" and BOOM! You got your 5000 crystals.


And also, there'll be small gifts like 25 double power, 50 heal kits, 15 n20, 30 double armor and 35 mines.


Advantages:

Instead of just wasting alot of money just to buy a huge amount of crystals, just buy cheap gift codes and in return, you can get more crystals without wasting alot of money.


Your parents won't have to waste too much money just to get you crystals, because, gift codes have NO requirements to redeem your crystals with credit cards. Redeeming them'll be free.


This way, you can get fast crystals for cheap prices.


Dis-advantages:


This'll still be considered "Buying"


If they buy too many gift codes, they can get better equipment EXTREMELY fast, causing them to dominate low ranked battles.

I love this idea. I was thinking of creating a topic about this, but let's say I'm not very good with the forum.

 

Anyway I would love for tanki to implement it. I hope If they do implement this that they do this worldwide so tankers from around the world can buy crystals this way.

 

I would definitely buy crystals if they had this but sadly they don't :(

I am not sure how you get more crystals for the money.  Is it because it will be scaled without the fees from credit card companies?  If so how do you buy the codes?  Unless you actually buy it from a brick and mortar store in cash, in which case some percentage would go to the store. 

 

However I definitely agree that there should be a way to buy crystals for other players.  It would encourage buying, sharing, and cut down on the number of scams.  It could be done much better than the way this topic suggests.  Just a simple "buy as gift" button where you enter the name of a different player.  Creating a gift code system and selling them in third party stores requires a level of expense and complexity tanki, and for the scale of this game you would not get many stores to carry it.  The codes themselves create a ton of avenues for abuse.  People trying to brute force code, scam others into clicking links for codes, or create fake code stores.

Also the tax returns and retail would not be good, they would have to export the gift cards to other countries where tanki is not that popular, so the idea would lose the business money rather than gain it, besides the retaliers would have to agree the product is profitable before accepting it for retail.

I do have to agree with you. But, maybe gift codes can make countries where tanki is un-popular and become popular? Besides, who wastes that much money just to buy their son/daughter crystals. I think $5.99 is a reasonable price because that much is 339.63 Russian Rubles which is ALOT! Goes to show you, Russia's economy may be good.

Companies that have been successful at this are usually global gaming systems (i.e. Microsoft Xbox, Nintendo Wii, etc.). If Tanki was as popular as Minecraft, then I have no doubt your suggestion would be looked at, but since it's not yet, I don't think they will do this.
