Drops being removed?

Do the devs want to secretly remove the supplies that drop in battle from the game?

You remember how they did with the crystals boxes? The value was 10. They changed it to 5-100 crystals ("so the crystals will be less a distraction", remember that line?). In Generalissimo battles, the 100 boxes were very common, and more than half of players were "multing" to catch, it was like a mini Gold. And they simply removed crystals.

Now, one of the mission is to catch 7 Nitro. I played in Rio. 3 or 4 tanks were waiting around the Nitro drop zones.

So, what will they do? Remove the missions related to supplies catching? Or remove supplies, saying they are a distraction , and force us to buy supplies kit?

I am just wondering.

I don't think people will sit in battles and collect drops. If this does happen and it causes a big impact on gameplay the developers will remove the mission involving collecting supplies, not the supplies themselves.

They will make their own battles, collect all supplies needed, get their reward... Those "stupid" ones will wait around drop zones in normal battles.

No you cannot do that because i tried it when the test servers were open for daily mission testing.One of the missions i had were collecting 5 double damage drop boxes and i created my own battle and collected 5 double damage but it didn't work because there were no opponents in the other team and when players joined to the oppenent team i started collecting and then it worked. :O

Can't test daily missions yet because of lag problems..but I'm sure a large chunk of the players will use mults or camp on the drops.

If we are being tasked to catch these supplies I really can't see how they would then want to remove them especially with the testing and fanfare gone into this. Supplies are an ends to a means within the battle itself, providing also a different tactical perspective and empowerment to tankers which without which might be detrimental to the game as opposed to crystal boxes, plus they are so common enough anyway, it shouldn't be a problem.

 

Crystal boxes was different as tankers were getting obsessed with them and not just everything they can purchase with them. The suspense and sense of anticipation of what the value of the next box will be when they did introduce the drop zones was getting all consuming...even the most forthright were getting distracted hahahaha, I was starting to think the winner was the tank who collected the highest aggregate value in crystals hehehe, and it would have got worse as many would have seen it as a way to hone their gold box grabbing techniques.

 

Once tankers get use to daily missions I doubt there will be queues waiting on drop zones..it was probably just during testing tankers wanted to complete their daily missions and get a taste of whats to come...anyway we wait and see.

I doubt Supply Drops will be removed due to the popularity of them... If your worried about them being removed you could email Help@TankiOnline.com and ask them if they are getting removed or not, but I expect they would say No :P

I don't think that they will ever remove supply drops. The crystal drops were removed so as to prevent crystal grabbers and mults.

I must say that I agree with this statement the most.

 

I hope that there is a lot of variety in the missions, otherwise things could get bad real fast. For example, if 1/10 of all tankers get the "collect 7 Nitros" mission, there will be extreme multing for Nitro boxes. The same could be said of other missions. If 1/5 of all tankers receive the "Get 50 kills" mission, everyone will be camping. Etc.

 

I really don't know what they'll do if supplies become a distraction as well, maybe remove the mission(s) that involve them? :)
