When hackers get into your account they automatically go for your crystals. They spend it on useless Micro Upgrades, equipment you dont even want and supplies.

My suggestion:

Enable an option in the settings where tankers can set a different password for everytime they purchase an item. Obviously this password cannot be to simple or to hard for that tanker. Also if the hacker gets into your account he already knows your password so this password should be different from your login password.

Then hackers will get wise to it, and the next time that they go to scam someone, they'll just say "I'll need your account password and garage password."

This decision won't fix many issues. 99% of "Hacking," inside this game and outside it, is actually done by scamming, not by actual code-breaking. People say "Oh, my Email has been hacked!" But they forget to mention that they had just been on a malicious site that had asked for their Email/password minutes before, and they were foolish/ignorant enough to enter it in. That's how their Email got hacked, but instead of realizing that, many blame something else.

It's the same way with this game. Very few people are even capable of doing code-break hacking (The real hacking), most "hackers" are just scammers, who offer 999999999 crystals in exchange for the account and it's password(s). As long as players are ignorant/foolish/greedy enough to give away such information in exchange for a fake promise, accounts will continue to be stolen, with or without your suggestion.

I have no idea how so many people manage to get "hacked". In my opinion if you are sensible enough to not give away your account details, not visit suspicious sites and not use a password like "qwerty" or "123456", then you are 99% safe.

One of the main problems is, people count "Stealing" as "hacking" .-.

Like they give their password to someone, they go destroy the acc,

then the owner comes and says he got "hacked", but he actually gave his acc away -.-

On my older account someone had asked me for my username and my password, I told him the username but not the password, then he said ok, he left, and I never managed to login to this account again.

The target audience of tanki is roughly between 11 & 12 yrs old. that is why many accounts get hacked.

So darn true. Kids in tanki get fooled too easily. Their want for free crystals makes them lose their accounts.

Accounts get hacked a lot because some kids aren't smart at all. They desperately want crystals so much that they let someone borrow their accs, so there goes their account/crystals. They should actually get mad at themselves about it instead of complaining.

Its a pretty good idea for some people but not look at me I have a 15 character,un-guessable password so as long as there is a option to disable it its fine with me.Oh and @general_abrams thanks for explaining how your account gets hacked I really didn't understand what kind of "hackers" would need your password to hack your account.

My co-leader of my clan was recently hacked. Just last Tuesday in fact, and guess what... he was so loyal and such a good friend hes sticking by my side even if he has to start over. He didnt deserve that and he never gave out his password. He had 5 M2's and a good rank. He believed someone was out to get him. My suggestion is to help protect other players. Once someone hacks into your account by any means, the have the run of your account. My suggestion is a second protection method that the hacker will have to bypass.

For everyone saying that it should be an option and only if that player wants to use it...

It should be implemented but only used if the player wants to use it on his/her/whatevers garage.

I would love this!!! But only if it was optional :P

Also i understand hacking of tanki online accounts mainly involve players to give out their password. But there are other ways of getting around that and it may seem unlikely but its true. Please dont deny a suggestion as such. Right now i have so many crystals and for my sake i dont feel like earning back 4 months worths of crystals if something went wrong.

My password is being under siege for several years now, but they still can't manage to brake it. And there isn't much extraordinary about my password, I followed simple rules of passwords-making.

Your suggestion won't make anything better. If a player can not keep his first password safe I hardly believe he can do better with another one. This problem must be tackled with different approach.

What if we forget our password? How would we change it then?

And if we want to change our 'buying' password do we have to enter the 'first buying' password?

I hope you answer these questions. :)

This is just an option for people who have cold feet about the situation. Your 27 or something, your a developer. You obviously would not make the mistake some of us did. I just would like to protect my crystals and have 2nd protection method.

  1. You could either contact support or use your email to change it.
  2. Yes, would make sense right.
