I'm not afraid of the dark, I respect the dark.

 

I'm not afraid of heights, but I am afraid of falling. Heights I can control, falling (or in the act of falling) I cannot.

 

I have a fear of being paralized. A few times, I have experienced sleep paralysis and that was very scary. That's when you suddenly wake up from a deep sleep and you find you can't move a muscle, not even twitch a finger or toe for several seconds.

 

I don't fear "things that go bump in the night." My house has an occasional haunt. My Mom and I, both, have heard and smelled them. Spooookyyyy!! My house also creaks at night (the house is 87 years old). What I do fear are sounds that aren't suppose to be there. EX: When someone was rattling the front door knob at night and everyone was at home. Then there was a prankster in the neighborhood that would go around tapping on windows at night. (He was finally caught and never heard from again).

 

My fears are very few.
