One of my passions is high end watches

i own 2 breitling watches which is probably my fave brand

 

some watches are way beyond my reach but i can still admire the workmanship that goes into making them

patek phillipe is probably top of the list of great watch makers

 

this particular watch evolved as a 175th anniversary project

the skill and craftmanship involved in producing this watch is just staggering

 

yours for $3.6 million if you have that lying around

as i say i own two breitling watches

this is my fave

breitling b1 which was the very first quartz electronic watch breitling produced

 

another very interesting breitling watch is their emergency watch which actually has a transmitting radio beacon built into it

so you can be found if your lost at sea or somewhere very  inaccessible

it will transmit for up to 24hrs

Don't get me wrong, I agree this whole thing is really fascinating and cool. But why have such an expensive watch when, if you think about it, all you really need a watch for is for the time. So why use (notice I didn't say waste) so much money on that, when you can have something like this with no less purpose but save a ton more money?
