 travel on maps that are 1000s of kilometers in length. 

Yeah, stop right there. Any map you enter needs to be downloaded before you can play it, so not only will a map this size take hours (if not days) to load, but you'll run out of RAM before you can even load 1% of it.

Racing Missions

 

Racing missions are Daily Missions that involves racing and killing each other for the top three places.

 

1st

 

2nd

 

3rd

 

Big crystal and supply rewards are only issued to the players that make it in the top three places in Racing Missions.

Racing and killing are not something that goes hand in hand.


Imagine this scenario of race for Top 3:

 

Riddler is at the racetrack with the combo Isida M3 / Mammoth M3, along with 9 other players who have combos Rail M3 for example/ Wasp M3 (naturally Wasp, because Wasp is the fastest hull). When the timer says GO what chance has the Riddler compared to other players? None of course, because neither he can catch and kill them, nor can race with them without killing them.

I know, but players can choose to create a race battle using any of the turrets and hulls they wish. Paints too can be chosen for the race battle.

Racing missions can't be just a daily mission though. It requires so much reworking to the way battles work that it needs to be a whole separate game mode. I do like the idea of a racing mode in Tanki, but think about how many changes need to be made to make it possible, interesting and fair:

  • All hulls must have the same acceleration and speed
  • Shooting and killing must be allowed (at least as an option), otherwise the race really doesn't fit into a tank game
  • The track has to be clearly defined with possibility of unfair shortcuts, which means addition of either walls, holes in the floor or minefields that instantly kill players
  • The respawn mechanics have to be completely different. When a player gets killed they need to respawn a lot quicker and somewhere on the track, instead of in a random place on the map.
  • Since the player has to respawn on the track, a whole new system of checkpoints needs to be programmed, where the player respawns at the nearest checkpoint behind them when they get killed.
  • Since winning the race is about crossing the finish line, the game mode will require a new scoreboard detection, where it determines your place in the list based on where you are on the map, rather than how many kills/points you have.

So yeah, no matter how you put it, adding racing to Tanki is a massive project that will take many months to develop and definitely won't be just another type of daily mission.

I really like the idea of a racing mode, but as you say, it would be a huge project and there are other things that are going to be added/improved already, but he's RIDDLER_8, no one takes him seriosuly anymore.

Please take my ideas as serious. My idea for having a racing game mode is, of course, a new game mode that needs to be added into Tanki Online. I do understand very well that a racing mode needs to have a complete reworking of the speed of hulls, faster respawning on the race track. Checkpoint has to be added to.

 

A new scoreboard detection system has to be implemented into Tanki Online because players will win after completing all the required number of laps and the mechanics of the race results are given to players after they cross the finish line on the end of the last lap.

 

There should be a restricted amount of time between the number of kills for players. The race will have 20 tanks on the race track.

 

Here are the following points for each of the placements:

 

1st place - 1000 crystals

 

2nd place - 500 crystals

 

3rd place - 250 crystals

 

4th place - 125 crystals

 

5th place - 100 crystals

 

6th place - 90 crystals

 

7th place - 80 crystals

 

8th place - 70 crystals

 

9th place - 50 crystals

 

10th place - 40 crystals

 

11th place - 30 crystals

 

12th place - 20 crystals

 

13th place - 10 crystals

 

14th place - 9 crystals

 

15th place - 8 crystals

 

16th place - 7 crystals

 

17th place - 6 crystals

 

18th place - 5 crystals

 

19th place - 2 crystals

 

20th place - 1 crystal

 

Now you folks have a general idea of the number of crystals players would earn within the total number of places that players finish the race.

 

We need a special race mode in Tanki Online.

Then you might want to post it in here instead, although I guarantee you that the idea for a racing game mode has been posted dozens of times before.

 

Also, please don't waste your time listing the prizes for different places. The amount of crystals players would get is something only the developers will decide, so the fact that you listed the reward for every place in the race is completely irrelevant and will not be taken into consideration when (if) the developers read your idea.

I think, Tanki should improve the daily missions rewards 1 step further.

A new mission (collect 5 Goldbox) and a nice award for that

Getting a 15 days premium after completing a super 99999 exp or kill mission.

Daily mission should include (paints or super paints like Gladiator + and other cool looking paints)

This is just my idea.

tanki online it would have been better if instead of getting 3 misions, we get 4 missions. also, the mission should have good rewards such as lots of supplies or lots of crystals. in the current game, apart from those special mission, the rest is very boring.

Yes. I know that it would be better to get 4 Daily Missions instead of 3. The fourth mission should be more special rewarding players with more crystals and supplies.

As the reward for completing a long term daily mission, I received a Viking XT M3.   I already have a Viking M3 with full micro upgrades.   What are the possibilities of getting a full set of micro upgrades as another long term daily mission?

On the subject of daily missions. would it be an idea to include on the screen a daily and weekly progress report?   I can keep track of the seven days over which I am completing the missions, but sometimes forget which week of a four week cycle I am in.

On the subject of micro upgrades, I find it seems to take forever to complete them.  If a player  is prepared to spend the crystals, how about offering an all in one price for the full upgrade, and complete it over a much shorter time?

And how will the system know what mission, considering that a player may have changed hundreds of daily mission by clicking Change?

 

Randomly?

You know that only Generalissimos have missions - to reach 99999 xp or 9999 kills...

so can missions be form Brigadiers? For example, you need to kill 450 to get 6k crystals or less.
