This is probably already mentioned in another post in this thread but it would make sense that if collecting a supply is part of your mission than if you already have that power enabled, for instance, you have already collected one Double Armour and you need 4 more, than while it is active and hasn't cooled down yet then if you do collect another it won't count to your tick-box. Likewise if you need x number of repair kits and you have full health and you collect 1 on purpose or by accident it also shouldn't count towards your mission.

Plus, I hope that when asked to play in a particular map that perhaps is unpopular or that I haven't previously visited mainly because no-one else creates these maps and no-one else wants to either, that many players are simultaneously been given the same mission, so that it won't be scarce or empty or hard to find battles in these maps. The last thing anyone wants is not to enjoy completing his mission and it becoming a chore.

 

Though if it wasn't for the missions I wouldn't have taken part in the Forest map, which was actually really really cool, and it was busy which made it spot on. So yeah come to think of it, tanki needs to devise a way of keeping battles exciting by mainstreaming players into particular battles.

Sometimes some player or more wants to create a battle or two for the fun of it, and inadvertently kind of messing up all the other battles for that same map in same battle mode. I know obviously that battles are removed from battle list if they are empty but more can be done still.

It really isn't that much,my best daily reward amounted to around 15k for an hr or so of gaming. That's about 5X my compensation for an hr of gaming.

The costs for Gmos MUs and paints +supplies is in the 10 million range so 15k is peanuts.

You still must grind for hrs on end to even come close to earning enough in game to advance at a snails pace.the only thing missions does is get players to log on every day and play for an hr or two, making the game seem like it has a healthy community. It's a bandaid solution to hold on to players till the unity version launches. Tanki will do whatever it takes to keep players engaged till the big launch.

It's just too bad that this type of player recognition only comes to light when the future of the game is at stake. They must have a new marketing manager with some clout directing the direction required to turn this game around.

Looks like he has been busy researching the history of the game and taking advantage of all the successful and promising ideas the devs have been neglecting over the past 2+yrs.

VETERANS of this game have been pushing for these types of changes for several yrs now.

Glad to see it happening. Better late than never.

Maybe, just maybe there is hope for Tanki after all.

Missions are starting to get boring IMO, why? They are just sooo repetitive. Maybe think of some new ones every now and then?

Missions are just a means to an end really, but still I half an half agree with you.

I kindly request tanki to remove ' collect repair kits' mission

 

Wen i approach to repair boxes as im low

Other tanks pick it . Who are full. They say its part of their mission.

Totally true..first thing that should be reconfigured, without a seconds thought.

Well missions have been here for a week now, and I've had a chance to see them all.

My first observation are that for the average player who spends 1 to 3 hrs a day are earning about 3x the reward they were before this update.

The mega missions on the other hand are very small and only give players 0.5x reward for much greater effort, these missions cater to the pro game who spends 5 or more hours a day in the game. There is much room for making these missions more interesting.

Overall I feel the missions are quite limited and the experience and kills to be engaging, the others are all only minor effort for reward and might as well be click and receive. Capturing flags and coming first in battle are just so bad it's funny, create a 1 flag battle take flag and wait at your base for first player to join cap and voila, done! mission completed in 10 seconds :D

Missions should be engaging and rewarding based on effort, make rewards more interesting 25,50,75% of hulls,turrets,Micro upgrades, or paints for one day. Maybe double funds for a day,speasial paints for a day etc.

There are so many options to award to players for more engaging missions.

I hate looking a gift horse in the mouth but the missions are boring and lack any imagination on developers part to make it fun and worth my time to play.

Almost every Russian players got XT mission but when do En community will get it ??????

Pretty much none of En community players didn't got any XT mission except Russian only !

I also think that missions should not be completely random. For example, if you play 90% of the time in Polygon CP, you should never get a mission to earn 300 points or whatever in Polygon CP, and so on.

 

Collecting boxes is not good either. They usually put your team at a disadvantage. They should be made intelligent, such as collect boxes when enemy tank is within 10 meters or so, so there is an actual benefit to doing that, definitely not collect a repair kit when your team mate is about dying within 5 meters of you.

 

@swede1, the double fund thing is a little too complicated. The crystal rewards are good enough for that, maybe make that more intelligent as the average of what one has earned per day for the last week or so. I am a proponent of getting something for 1 day or 1 week, say fully upgraded railgun or ricochet for 1 day or 1 week, or a voucher for upgrading your stuff a certain number of steps or whatever.

 

Also missions could add things such as destroy first player on opposite team 10 times or so, etc.

 

However, this is a first step that provides a base for improvements, and that is highly appreciated.

Basically, it's piece of cake collecting boxes. All you have to do is create a large unpopular map with big teams (like 10vs10), enter and start driving around picking up boxes... Mission completed in 1-2 minutes. However, what you say is true. On many occasions I witnessed team work blown away due to some player collecting boxes and doing nothing else...

I created a battle at skyscrapers, and when everyone left as they do I stayed on on my own as I was already there, and the battle fund was 1000+. So decided to put some mines in case someone came plus I didn't want to capture flags as the score against might put players off joining. So started laying mines just as a player enters and asks for my help. Then asks me to shoot him as he needs to collect repair boxes for his mission. When I realised his intentions was mission not battle, I was a bit betwixted inbetween as to what to say or do, so I figured he must have made his own battle on his own and started collecting repair kits only to realise that it didn't count. Anyway he sees one of my mines and steps in it, and then another. But must have self destructed as he asks me again, so I told him that health isn't a factor its having an active game. So now hes travelling around the map collecting his repair kits, and signs off Thx Bro..but after stepping in the mines I had laid and then leaving the battle, and at the same time before he leaves someone joins my team, which would likely even more so put off other players joining in the opposing team. A bit of a dilemma.

I am delighted to discover that the mission "Win a battle" means to finish a game as high scorer on your team whether it wins or loses.  I have been so sick of joining games in which my entire side quits, but now that means that I can easily achieve a mission just by staying, even if twelve enemies are beating on me.

I pointed that out in an earlier post - you only need to be the top on your team - regardless of outcome.

 

Seems like you could just make a battle with 1v1 to accomplish that goal. :P

Because there are far more Russian players than English players, so there is a better chance for at least one person in their community to get an XT mission. I'm sure soon enough one of our community members will get it ;) Just a matter of patience.

Because there are far more Russian players than English players, so there is a better chance for at least one person in their community to get an XT mission. I'm sure soon enough one of our community members will get it ;) Just a matter of patience.

First of all that's a falsity, only about 40% of players are from Russia, the balance of players are from EN,DE,BR,and CN.

though it wouldn't surprise me if rewards are higher logging in on RU server local. They get twice as many crystals through purchase than any other community, they also have access to gambling sites that reward in crystals worth up to 10X value and other promotions not offered to other communities, logging in through VK was another and Facebook was to have similar crystal bonuses but that never materialized. Thought Russians spend more on Tanki than any other community so they are more apt to spend much more on changing missions to get the elusive XT ones.

There definitely are advantages to being a Comrade.

No matter anyhow, spending real money n Tanki doesn't make much sense unless the devs come forward and ensure that your progress and equipment is transportable to future versions of the game.

Umm... some missions are next to impossible to complete for some tankers. Example: "Earn 500 EXP on map Kungur" seems simple enough, but for some (like me) who use slow computers with the ability only to compensate small maps and amounts of people. So far, I have seen this mission only for Kungur and Rio, and that means I can't complete it. Also, I don't want to waste my crystals on crap like changing missions.

Also, for "Finish 1st Place", just make a Duel TDM! You'll be the only on ur team so u will get it!

In terms of US dollars it cost about $700 or so to get a fully upgraded M3 hull/turret combination (assuming a person buys crystals and uses a 2x multiplier).

 

I wonder if it's the same equivalent cost for a Russian?
