I think this will be a longer way. 2 super missions!

But i hope u understand that if u will complete these missions u dont get XT hornet or rail - waste of time dude , u can get more crystals without these missions...  I changed these missions - i wait till i get reward one of those XT...

No! :)

If you gain about 10k experience a day, then this missions workt to play. :)

there should be more XT rare missions and not only hornet and railgun 

like:

 

wasp XT, viking xt, firebird xt and other guns n hulls. what do u guys think?

Viking XT would be epic!

 

So, I got my first 'rare' map mission yesterday... Skylark. I'm a Lt. Colonel and had never even heard of this map. I could only find one battle and had to change servers to find it. 3x3. Skeptical that I would be able to earn points in an unfamiliar map with only a few enemies, I joined.

 

Skylark is a nice map! Medium sized with lots of hiding spots, multi layers, and open spaces. It was easy to get to high ground to see where your enemies are. This map needs more play. Glad that missions brought Skylark to my attention.

 

The enemies... ThunderVikings, ThunderHornet, and ShaftWasp... Drugging. All M2 vs my M1 hull. That usually spells trouble. BUT these guys were TOTAL NOOBS. The Thunders had NO IDEA how to use splash damage, so I cat-and-mouse killed them with Rico-bounce. The Shaft spent the entire game in sniper mode, so I just crept up to him and played "swat the wasp"... utter slaughter.

 

I should add that the Thunders were all wearing Thunder paint, probably to reduce self damage. This gave them no help against my MU'd Ricochet. That's the other nice thing about Skylark... Lots of vertical surfaces... Great for Ricochet. Looking forward to playing this map again!

I feel like the missions button replacing the friends button isn't the brightest idea. Tanki should make the "buy" button the size of the current friends, settings, sound etc. buttons and the friends button as it was before. Would be really convenient since a lot of us like to play together with friends :)

I'm playing more than 5 hours a day that's 1000 XP p/h so that's 5000 XP + 100% pass is 10 K XP p/d. and the mission whit kills is just play a lot of DM mode. not a problem for me.

These are the missions I am talking about. Although I don't care much for TDM or CTF, I will do anything for money.

Add to that that I have just caught a gold box!

My Feedback

 

Now that I have played at a few different ranks since Daily Missions have been released I feel they are a fairly good addition to the game.

 

 

Positives:

  • They have added something fun and different.
  • They have helped reduce the number of mults and in some cases even increased the number of players assisting each other to complete their missions.
  • They have increased the diversification of maps being played.
  • They are helping to teach new players the importance of picking up supply boxes.

Negatives:

 

The picking up of supply boxes is great for new players but kinda silly for higher ranks to be doing. In the first few ranks of the game, players just focusing on picking up boxes is fine and doesn't cause much of a problem. As a players rank increases and the intensity of the battles increases, having a player only focused on grabbing boxes is a much bigger problem in the team style games. This is only adding to an all ready huge problem of mults and saboteurs. I also feel it is teaching players to be selfish. It is very bad game play to be taking boxes you don't currently need if you have team mates that can make better use of them.

 

Suggestions:

There are a few options. These are individual ideas that could be used alone or combined. All of these ideas are related to the grabbing boxes missions.

  • Restrict them to death match (DM) mode only.  Being a selfish player in DM does not effect anyone else and it is actually a good tactic to scoop up all the boxes.
  • Add an additional requirement between these boxes. You could make it so when you grab a box you must have to earn an additional 20 XP before the next grabbed box is counted towards your mission. This way it forces players to play while they are in search of boxes.
  • Remove these missions completely after a certain rank
  • combine them somehow. Like, "destroy an enemy while using a picked up double power", or "carry a flag while using a picked up speed boost".
  • As for health boxes, they should only count towards your mission if your health, at the time of collection, is less then 60%. If it is above that then it shouldn't count. Actually you could take one step further and remove 1 box from you mission if your health is 100%.  The idea is to teach players there is a right time and wrong time grab health boxes.

An XT rail and hornet is nothing special. It only has a different look. It's parameters are the same as a stock M3 rail and hornet combo. It doesn't even come micro upgraded. I hope that if you win one it becomes an additional combo and doesn't replace an already existing one and if it does replace you current hornet and rail I hope you get to keep any micro upgrades you have already payed for.

Well thanks for that. Isn't it the same as a non micro upgraded M3 hornet? I also find it interesting that it shows it can be purchased at lower ranks.

Devs too lazy to change the new year model .-.

(nothing unusual it is :lol:)

 

btw I'd like it more if they left this XP loving of theirs and actually did something for other combos...

True, Fire+Wasp could use some love ;) Same with Smoky and Hunter. (Maybe Smoky XT could make a comeback one day!)

 

But, I think that'll only happen if they become as popular as Hornet+Rail is now. Which is to say a long time from now.
