Busting Tanki's Stereotypes

 Share

Recommended Posts

Eh, #1 and #5 could be disputed. The phrase 'heal isida pls' is usually heard when a teammate, low on health, is going unnoticed by a friendly Isida that's idle.

And also it's quite possible that Polygon CP could yield the maximum reward, as the average lifespan of a tank in there is probably on the order of 10-30 seconds, and thus funds grow very fast. For example, I've seen a tanker achieve a reward of 1.5k in 15 minutes, which is rather remarkable. In fact, an excellent way to characterize Polygon CP is:

Jump in center, die, repeat.

#5 - 'You get maximum crystals in Polygon CP'

However, the same can apply even to other maps (take for example, that the TWR for highest reward was set in a Dusseldorf TDM). If you enjoy playing in the map and can play it well, anything is possible. In fact, the maps in which I get the highest rewards are Silence and Future.

So you see, good rewards can be obtained in any battle, as long as you show skill in the game and a passion for the map.

So next time you see somebody over-praising Polygon CPs, BUST THE STEREOTYPE!

***

I don't like polygon cp but this statement is arguable, the TWR for the highest reward was in island dm and most probably during

a double or a triple fund day and the guy had to destroy 3000 tanks! that takes alot of time not available to normal tankers

Who log in to play for 15 , 30 min or 1 hr battle.

The highest record ever for battle fund and reward was set in a 24H drug war CTF battle in Dusseldorf during triple funds

Most tankers can't afford this types of battles in terms of time or supplies not to mention how rare double or triple funds

Are and dusseldorf can take up to 40 players compared to polygon 16 players which makes polygon easier to fill.

So overall polygon cp is the fastest crystal generator for normal tankers!

Enjoyed the article :)

However some admins and the Developers have the priviledge of dropping golds. This is no secret. And its true.

Nice topic :)

but this 1 sentence is so wrong. I agree with Eragon up there^,

So let me clear this once and for all - admins never had, they still don't, and they will never have the power to drop gold boxes at will.

Just collect some real info b4 saying a thing like that, And dont bring up the wiki for me,

Wiki has many out-dated and sometimes wrong things on it ;)

#3 - 'No kill on gold box'

That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard

-

I have to disagree on this one. Temporary truce upon the Gold Box notification is more of a tradition than a stereotype. It gives everyone a fair chance of catching the box, and IMO it's a 'knightly' thing to do.

Tell that too my face, punk.

*Facepam* don't you understand figurative speech? What I meant is that you'll die of boredom and impatience if you ever equip Isida with Mammoth.

It mostly is, but I was trying to bust the stereotype that people neglect other maps due to Polygon CPs... :)

I would also add to the list 'xp/bp duels show your skill in tanki.'

Let's say for example a teammate flips you deliberately and you call him a noob for doing that.

The teammate then says 'You think I'm noob? Come 1 vs 1.'

A duel proves nothing. If you decline their request they say 'you scared, noob?'

Xp/bp duels just show your skill in using that combo, not your skill in tanki.

So just by losing a duel that doesn't mean you 'suck' at tanki. This game isn't 'xp/bp online'

Those noobs who are challenging you to a duel think they are so good at xp/bp battles that they don't think they will lose. However, if you are winning the duel they might rage quit and then later they will say 'I lagged', so wouldn't that makes them the 'noob' 4 making up excuses? Maybe they challenge you because your an m2 player and they are m3, so they will be like 'he's an m2 player and m2 players are noob' so I'll beat him.' Just because someone's rank is higher then yours doesn't make you a noob.

So overall, the guy who is challenging you is the 'noob' himself.

The fun thing about mammoth isida, is watching those people run away from you, in a desperate attempt to avoid you refilling your immense HP, but catch them off guard, and they're toast.

So true ahahah I don't have XP myself, but sometimes on test every single other xp facing me lost badly... And that's the average skill today  B)

I do disagree with point 4 however, as someone in possess of thousands of supplies can both spam the first aid recklessly (since they cost 3x the others, free players end up with 3x less, and they can't waste them every single time they get to low life), and control the drop spots (if they're smart enough, most of which aren't).

God.. How many of themselves got their lives saved by da+first aid..

I had actually added a title called #6 - XP players are pro but removed it because it wasn't looking good enough

Another stereotype..BORN

1v1 shows skill - switching fro. Defense to attack, locationg enemy and thinking of strategy in seconds.

That is why most of clans have "1v1" rule before aplying

And if u arent skilled with xp/bp, go in realy huge maps, where the team is wining, " one player short will balance the battle"

Nice! i agree with most of em' except polygon one. polygon cp is definately the fastest crystal generator. its not a stereotype. its a truth :P

I never contested the fact that it's the fastest generator. I contested the fact that it's considered the only generator of crystals.

BUSTING TANKI'S STEREOTYPES

Isida is a dynamic gun - it heals pretty well, but it is built for the frontlines. You try equipping Isida with Mammoth and not chuck the keyboard at the monitor.

Ok
