Custom made paints!

They look great like that, however you should show it on a actual tank. If you can, add another pic with the paint on an actual tank, like did on his post above.

I have no idea how to.

And thanks.

Sorry me neither. Ask I-Branko147-I or the mod would be able to help you on this.

I tried the link on the first post but could not access the content.

Download TankiViewer

Then go to "data" and replace a paint with your paint, it needs to be the same file name

If you need more help, just PM me c:

Thanks, amigo.  ;)

Why not put them on actual tanks?

If anybody knows, help me please.  :)

Also, I think I will only be able to put the Rainbow pain paint onto a tank, because I deleted the other two. (Overwritten)   :(

It's a rather complicated process, it will take a looong time to explain unless done by video, I can put them on tanks if u want?

I am just stuck on how to replace the custom paint with my own paint.

There is no save button, unlike in the video above.

Apart from that, I am pretty much there, I think I know how to do everything else, just a single step missing.

There isn't a save button, after you've copied your paint to the folder and edited the config file accordingly, restart tank viewer and scroll though the paints until you find your's.

So my paint has been copied into the folder, it is a JPEG file. I have restarted tank viewer, and the paint should be next to custom paint 10, but it is not.

I still can't get my custom paints up on TankViewer, so I thought I would show you this paint on a tank, because it looks kinda similar to my Burn paint.

Yes, that won't work, because Tank Viewer doesn't know your paint exists. If you look in the folder you will see an XML document named 'config' right click on it and choose 'edit' .

Now scroll to the bottom you should see a line of code like this: <colormap file="custom_textures/10.jpg"/>

Copy this line and paste it below the original.

Now edit the '10.jpg' to whatever your paint name is.

Example:

Paint file name 'Mypaint.jpg' You would edit the line to this: <colormap file="custom_textures/Mypaint.jpg"/>

Save the Config file, restart Tank Viewer; and it should work.

Hope this helps.  :)

I have just done this, and it seems correct, but now when I am starting up TankViewer, on Standalone FP, it is not working. When it is zoomed out, there is just a blank white screen, and when it is zoomed in, there is just a dark grey screen. It does not come, I have waited a long time already.

It was working just before I edited this, can you help?

Are you sure you edited it correctly and didn't touch anything else? Works fine for me.

Yeah, I pressed two tabs after pressing enter, so now the "Rainbow" is directly under the above line, rather than at the beginning.

Was it supposed to be "Rainbow.jpg"? Because in custom_textures, they show up as numbers, rather than numbers with .jpeg after them. (As the name.)
