No

I just read the title

I do respect each one's opinion but just reading title is not enough. To fully understand the situation you need to read the topic.

No. Too complex under the Unity-invasion.

The project is really complex but just because it is complex doesn't mean it should be ignored or denied but everyone have different opinion and I do respect that.

In game voice chat is a horrible idea.  It works alright in something like dayz but that is it.  Organized players already have vent, teamspeak, mumble, or skype.  Unorganized players won't benefit from it and probably speak four different languages on any given team anyway.  So the result is extra bloat and conflicting key bindings.

True many organized players use programs like TeamSpeak or any other programs for communication.
For organized players mainly for random battles can still be beneficial. For example, telling you teammates you see incoming enemy, etc.
But you are right in some part as it takes some sort of organizing so everyone don't talk at the same time. It can make players be more organized (well that's what I hope) or it can make chaos.
Again it is everyone's opinion and I do respect that.

The disadvantages are enough to pour ur idea downwards. Also, we can use skype...

True you can use Skype but in order to do so you need to have Skype and have an account. If you have Skype and account than you need to add player to your contacts and that takes time. Time that many don't want to spend doing it. You can also say that they can use other programs like TeamSpeak but all those programs needs you to have some sort of contact and in-game voice chat would make it more convenient.
Again it is everyone's opinion and I do respect that.

Ability to mute players over the mic just for yourself with this feature? I guess it would fix the swearing thing, you could mute a few or all the players at once and it wouldn't be a problem, the idea's fine otherwise.

No one would chat...

#privacy

So you're saying that no one would use voice chat because of privacy? I'm sorry but that makes no sense as voice chat is used in many other games and no one bother with privacy. For example, Gmod.

Or did I not understand you in right way?

Warrior, you know many times people have suggested this? ALOT you know. Why isn't it in the game yet? Because Flash is an outdated engine and is not able to do this...Wait for Unity or when TO launches it's own downloadable game XD

You are right, Flash is an outdated engine and such complex function may not be able to work but I started this topic to see how many of you wish to have voice chat in further developed game or in new 2.0 version which wont be out any time soon.

Flash is certainly able to do this.  Despite its poor reputation flash is still one of the most reliable and versatile engines out there.  Red5 and tinychat show that flash voicechat is simple and has been around for ages.  That said it would lag slow computers even more and probably would not be useful for most players.

If a girl uses voice chat, her voice will be different. Trollers and stalkers would rule. And, how are they supposed to filter it? Every person's voice is different and I don't think Tanki Online has the resources to implement something as a voice filter.

Because of those immature players or/and annoying kids also called trolls and stalkers (and many other things) the mighty mute button was invented. So I don't really see problem in terms of different voice.

Hmm this is pretty safe for kids because as long as you don't let your younger brothers and/or younger sisters to touch the headset and it should be fine though I wonder if it is possible to *beep* the bad words with some sort of audio filter so it could more useful and usable in unity tanki.
