Children could very easily be preyed upon by much older people. It would not be a very good or safe way forward.

Again, there should be an age restriction for it. I.E: 13 and older only and if those younger wish to lie about their age, they did it to themselves.

This will never happen, how will moderators make sure the conversations obey game rules? And how could you submit proof to the forum about chat violations if all you can do is screenshot? Call me stupid, but last time I checked you can't screenshot an actual audio conversation. Sorry, this will never work. NEXT!

Teamspeak and Skype can be used to speak to each other. Also, not everyone speaks the same language. Aaaaand it will crush the rules - can't pickup swearwords from voice detection can you?

There should be rules that come with the privilege of using chat and once you disobey even one, you should be banned from using it again. It's only meant for those mature enough to handle it.

Do you not realize that it would be next to impossible to auto-moderate for swear words in real time without assistance? There are HUNDREDS of different and unique pronunciations for every single word, SO YOU go try and program all of that into a database for a auto-mod system to reference to. And the amount of processing power required would be insanely large. And you try to listen to ONE specific person in a football game, that's how loud everyone is in the chats. Sorry, won't work. Unless you got some freaking super hearing with very fine selective tuning, the whole chat stream would sound like a football stadium.

Yes, different servers for languages. But only for English, Russian, German and Polish. Not ermm... think of a language not in the list. Arabic for instance - many people who speak Arabic play in English servers but may not know English or may prefer speaking Arabic - what about them? As for moderating, there's going to be many of these 'Voice Chats' on the server. I'm guessing you're proposing a Voice Communication in each battle - that would need absolutely alot of Moderators.

Typing wastes time.

So don't talk then. It's not like your team is blind, they can see everything you do, and it's a chat, not a book report, if you need to type it's not like you're writing paragraphs. In XP/BP I know sometimes your teammates might say, "Player xxxx on 1", but you can say that easy enough while spawning. Again as people are saying, use Skype, Facebook, Teamspeak, Google, etc.

Clan wars use teamspeak BUT do you realy think its possible to join battle and get everyone to download teamspeak just for 1 single battle?

Also they should add a button Block so, if 51% from team push Block you, you aare blocked from talking till next battle. Maybe talked TOO much? Maybe didnt used english languague but something else?

This idea is REALY useful in ANY battles.

this is precisely the reason voice chat would be good, and if a player is swearing? Everyone can mute him which results in his unofficial ban since no one can hear him.

Expensive? And I only made this topic because I had already asked a substantial amount of Tanki players their opinions on it and I only received positive feedback. I suggested this to actual players before suggesting it in Forum. 

That does not mean it won't be expensive to implement, theres no guarantee enough people will use it, such a feature requires lots of work and lots of resources

They're words not Satan. Everyone cusses sometimes. We don't even NEED mods for swear words we only need mods to ensure the safety of the younger kids. I don't care about what language they speak, you can't please everybody.

Well it's not just a small population of people that speak other languages than the ones provided. Also, yes, words are nothing to me. Swearwords and such do not affect me. I actually laugh when one person swears at someone else's mother and they start crying and punching like girls. But there are people who do get affected. Tanki is suitable for all ages (as far as I know) and at a young age, it can scar them. Kids may not swear, but they may learn them and say them in real life, upsetting their parents etc.

The amount of kids theres day on the internet is to risky and it may lead to provocation , misconduct , pedofiles etc . If this idea is to be promoted , they're should be something like a credit card or IP matching to verify , then again overall its a good idea

I very much agree with your view!  Voice contact could be very dangerous for the young more vulnerable.  It would be very misused.  Some would be bullied mercilessly.  Writen chat is bad enough but we do have some moderation.

In battle, it is inconvenient to type a strategy to fellow players without the burden of getting destroyed or something while typing. On game consoles such as PS3 or PS4, you have a mic to discuss. I think this would be beneficial. As far as bad language goes, there can be an age restriction on the microphones plus an e-signature on a Tanki contract verifying we are old enough to use this feature; example: 13 years and older.

 

Microphone would derive from either a built in webcam for newer computers or just a regular store bought webcam. Or just a microphone. No video, just voice to better discuss and faster without having to pause and type.

Very nice idea and solution but let's be real... there's no way that not even 1 person would take advantage of this update.
