Voice chat in battles

Whilst I understand that Tanki Online is targeted towards a younger audience, taking the time to type a message to your teammates or even the enemy can be the difference between getting the kill or dying. Implementing a hotkey that users can hold down to talk to other players can save a lot more time and it can be a lot more convenient than using various other VoIP services like Skype or Discord. This feature is active in plenty of other MMOs.

-1 Downvoted.

Why?

Because tanki Lags enough as it is, the servers are stressed most of the time with heavy loads if they would add audio it would be skype (and that is laggy as heck sometimes due to bugs) with a Heavy Bandwidthed game.

Not my cup of tea, plus I have to have the sound effects to concentrate its how i can sense if someone is coming or not. and where it comes from wierd sounding but its true. (I am a Sniper Defender).

Some of the disadvantages are:

> No protection for cursing,
> Voice chat is perfect things for spammers,
> Some of the people have "annoying" voice,
> It can be difficult to understand if more than one is talking at the same time,

I am not going to comment the benefits of voice chat but to avoid the disadvantages, I suppose the VC (voice chat) option should be given to stuff, administrators, well-known community members and in time every tanker after some "testing period". There should also be strict rules for voice chat. Once you break that, you lose VC option for a long time/forever.

Is it still being reviewed? I thought this too.

Also, you should be able to enable/disable voice chat, that would be an option.

It will be very much helpful in clan matches, typing wastes too much time, at times, while typing you get killed.

Or just make it clan battles only thing?
It's not highly required in day to day battles, but it is in clan battles.
You may say to use skype, or any other voice chat softwares, but a guy who already gets around 30 fps won't prefer to use another software to burden up my CPU even more.

Had experience with it and it is much harder to play, especialy in XP/BP battles. Only useful if you are a clan player and well done to exceptions, but as well many players don't speak same languages and anyways, I assume, greater players in random games wouldn't use it.

Perhaps this feature should only be available in clan battles?

Clans are already using Skype/Team Speak/Discord for the battles. Voice chat on tanki would make gameplay even harder and who knows, it might make the game even more laggy.

But tbh most people don't have permission to talk on skype or anything else. But in tanki they might be able to. This cannot come in non - clan battles

Adding in-game mic won't make you lag/decrease fps as much as it does for using Skype, fyi.

In-game mic uses negligible amount of resources and CPU power.

How is it harder to play? Can you elaborate? Let's discuss a bit.

That will do, as there are wide variety of language speakers in the community, we won't understand anything in public battles anyways, lol.

Being called russian kid in the chat isn't enough for me. I want to hear that as well.

Considering the conversations I usually read in the chat on the EN servers I suppose most of the people would just flame or ask for golds and using the voice chat in this particular manner is just going to disturb everyone.

You would be able to disable/enable voice chat anytime, so you won't be able to hear anyways. + I also personally think it shouldn't be for normal battles as many people from many different countries joins and we won't understand each other anyways.

Also, as again suggested above, it should be on clan matches.

Does adding in-game feature needs to buy servers? We are not talking about TeamSpeak/Discord servers here, tho. I din't know, making an in-game feature will need you to buy servers.
