Pre-Made Chat "Sayings"

Have you ever wanted to type, maybe like say flag, or need medic without having to delay playing, and type? Well, with the new sayings, you don't have to! You can be on the run, and use them, without having to stop gameplay! Simply press F to bring up a little screen, (that looks like a chat window) which has 7 (can hold up to 9, if needed) pre-made sayings. There will be a separate chat box that these will pop up in, which will be able to be turned off, if you don't like them. The sayings are below.

 

1. Get the Flag!

2. Medic!

3. Enemy in the base!

4. Headed towards enemy base.

5. Take cover!

6. Powerup over here.

7. Help!

 

There will be maybe a 10-second cooldown on these, so chat isn't getting spammed. You will also be able to turn these off. Once you press the designated saying, a little symbol will pop up over your head, maybe something to resemble each of the sayings, or just one to fit them all. Once again, the pop up will be able to be turned off.

 

Please give me feedback on this! I can take a lot of hate. Tell me the goods, and the bads of having this.

Perhaps we can add custom phrases and keystrokes to use for them! Or maybe just use a simple system like this, and automatically assign phrases to numbers 0-9, that would be awesome.

I use arrow keys and ZXC, so C wouldn't be possible. F is the closest to WASD, and ZXC, so it works for any type of player.

I have seen these sort pre-made chat sayings in First Person Shooter games like Battlefield Play4Free and Contract Wars this is just what we need!

Though it will not totally replace voice chat it will still be useful for the basic chat stuff.

Many games have such a system already and it is useful. Hopefully we would have something like that in Unity TO :D

Yeah, one could only hope lol. Being an Isida, people run up to me to get health, when I could just quickly realize that they need health if there is a little + above their head.

"F" is for dropping the flag, so, no. Maybe press 'enter' for normal chat, than use numbers 1-7/9 for the thing. It would only work if you didn't have anything else in the chat. Also, custom phrases might be nice, as long as they weren't too long.

"F" is for dropping the flag, so, no. Maybe press 'enter' for normal chat, than use numbers 1-7/9 for the thing. It would only work if you didn't have anything else in the chat. Also, custom phrases might be nice, as long as they weren't too long.

Oh yeah lol, how could I forget about F's usage? R does nothing, correct? And yeah, custom phrases would be nice, but some might not even help any. Anyone could just put spam for one. I'm not necessarily focused on the button to press to access them, I'm just wanting these somehow implemented. :3

The keys 1-5 are used for your drugs so I guess they should give us a option to assign keys for specific saying or you could simply press and hold "Y" and navigate which saying you want to use with HUJK or something.
