Players' distribution among servers

Recommended Posts

Hello!

My suggestion - removed-

The current maximum number of players for a server is 3000, and once the number goes past that it becomes impossible to switch to that server, as the system gives you a message "server is overloaded, try again later" message if you try to log in there. So what you are suggesting is already in the game.

There were lot of ideas about how could the players be organized among the servers.

I especially liked the one witch organize from ranks. For example Recurit - Sergeant players's server is EN8 EN9 RU8 RU9. But this idea isn't the best way, I think.

Maybe organize from item's level:

M0 servers, M1...ect.

See your ideas.

What is the deal with the English servers? They "look like" they have near the maximum utilization, but if you go there, you find a dozen or so games, or a handful, or none at all! -- The RU1 to RU4 servers have many dozens of games and show the same "indicated" utilization bar. What battles if any are being played (but not displayed) on EN 2 to 8? Or is it testing that makes them "look" like they might be busy?

It's not a matter of the server you go in, it's with the players. Players have 100% control on creating battles. It means that the players actually keep the servers alive. If players stop creating battles and stick to existing ones, there wont be a suitable amount of battles in the server.

Since players create battles, there comes another situation - Ranks.

As you already know, certain ranks can create battles by allowing a fixed rank limit for entrance. If there are many lower rank players whom create battles, a Higher rank player wouldn't be able to join it. So for higher ranks the server seems to be 'dead' whilst there are many battles for lower ranks and vise versa.

That explains it then: there are too few high-rank battles on the EN servers, since the majority of Gizmos seem to be Russians.

I created a few battles on the EN but got little response compared to (for example) RU2, where about half got populated eventually.
