I would like to say that the whiny posts by various sore losers have greatly entertained me.  I would also like to say

 

For the record

 

that if I see any of those tankers entering any future newsletter contests, I will laugh my Cutie Mark off.

 

I will also consider them to be, in my judgement, disqualified by default.

look all entries were good lets face it.. you could pick them out of a hat.. idc if i won or lost but when sonofchrysalis3 says what he said thats where you need to start thinking about the immaturity of him. not sure who these reporter admins are hiring now in days but i don't approve of half of these new reporters.. some act like 5 year olds and think they are gods for being on staff.... you still play the same game, still live in the same world as us and are one the same gender as 50% of the world roughly. nothing against you specifically but it is against people who think they are gods for joining a certain staff group -.-

 

and you guys wonder why i troll more staff comments more then anything :mellow:

 

but hey don't worry the immature ones usually last 1 month before everyone notices who they are and report them ;)

I don't see the creativity in the winner's entries 

 

They just showed a picture of a turret or a hull with some words on it which aren't that persuasive.

Specially the second winner and the third.

 

They really didn't deserve it.

 

I thought advertising posters were supposed to be colorful and persuasive and the chosen winners are not.

 

There were many other entries which were funnier, better looking and creative.

 

The judging was absolutely stupid and totally unfair.

Just to make it clear to all those jumping up and down in excitement at the thought of 'reporting a staff member', as far as I'm aware, precisely nothing will come of Mr. Chrysalis' post. Sure the post is a bluntly honest expression of his opinion rather than a sugar-coated one, but his post doesn't break any rules. And he has a point, even if he was harsh when expressing it - there has definitely been at least one sore loser here, as always. It looks to me as though his post were directed at said sore loser(s) rather than those simply giving their opinions of the results, which is perfectly acceptable as a form of feedback...

They're basically saying there was only a few 'worthy' entries for the 5k. A lot of people spent a lot of time and effort doing this for TO

You didn't read all I said - your post isn't really a response to my own...

 

I started by pointing out that you made an unfounded implication about his job status which was actually rude and arrogant in itself, making you a hypocrite since you would claim his own post was rude and arrogant - you haven't responded to that. It was completely unnecessary to take such a jab at his job status, and at the very least means you are now 'no better' than Mr. Chrysalis himself.

 

I didn't say I wholly agreed with his post, I said he had a point in terms of some aspects of what he was saying, but that he clearly did make such a point in a harsh manner. Therefore, I'm not sure why you're now claiming I agree with his post overall, since I never said that. In answer to your questions: no, and nope, but I'm not sure why you're asking me based on what I've just cleared up. What I was trying to convey was that the point behind Mr. Chrysalis' post seems founded, disregarding the way in which it was conveyed.

 

I could now make a jab at you for apparently misreading my post in your response to it, but I won't because I don't feel it would give out the best image for the staff, and I might as well err towards being respectful and courteous. However, let's say I now did have a blunt opinion of your reading skills - as long as I weren't to be downright insulting, I am perfectly entitled to voice that opinion without being silenced by my staff avatar or having my job status threatened.

 

Again, in doing so I wouldn't be the nicest or happiest advocate for the staff you'll ever come across, and it's likely quite a few wouldn't agree with the way I would speak, but it's up to the players reading to contact my admin if they feel I crossed the line. Responding with a post containing direct or indirect threats about my job status would not be the way to go.

Look, I know there is some originality missing from most of the winning entries, and this contest warrants more consolation prizes, but you can't just turn spiteful because you didn't win a prize. Everyone has a turn to win a prize, and if you didn't win, it means that the judges didn't consider you fit for a win. Reporters aren't drunk, you know!

 

@mcmonkey25 laid down the rules clearly - he judged the contest based on his opinions, and awarded the entries which deserved a win according to his standards. Remember, guys, reporters are reporters, not artists. True, they may have aesthetic sense, but you can't blame them for every small error they make! And ridiculing the winners or laying false qualms like 'they didn't deserve it' out of jealousy that you didn't win just isn't right - everyone deserves a chance in the spotlight, and clearly, if the judge thinks your entry isn't worth it, then it isn't worth it. End of story.

 

And /, whoever you are, stop supporting your rather unfair opinions with your alts - everyone followed the rules - just because they landed up in a better position than you doesn't mean they are cheating. And don't just lay baseless claims - you submitted 8 entries and none of them won, that is a fact. If you feel your entry deserved a win, keep it to yourself. It's your thought. Unfortunately for you, the judge's preferences win here, not yours.

 

So all you haters, try to be a little sporting and congratulate the winners for a change instead of just bemoaning your loss, or ridiculing others. There's always next time!

1st guy just pasted a tank on a premade background and used a Tech PSD from the web,

The result looks good, however it isn't original at all, Just a ripoff.

 

 

He didn't break the rules. TankViewer is an 'in game' resource, that is where he got the turret from. And then the additional effects were done by him, and additional details were added in by him, i.e. he wrote the damage bar as well as reloading time and impact speed.****** It wasn't wholly original,***** no, but the quality, creativity and purpose aspects of the advertisement were very good. There is no fixed judging, it is all fair as I did it myself and the winning entries were in my opinion the best ones.

read above and i can`t say any more thanks to the press i have a warning so please read and look into this more....along with rules..for me i did mine all in fun and im not a sore looser where you might think i like to follow rules like all others and i have seen more then one contest fixed in tanki now..and if you read all what has been said in general we all have the rights to voice our opinion

we do have the rights to voice our opinion and i was not the one who started this ..but it seems i`m the one getting all the blame..like i just told mc monkey in the fb site ..don`t kill the messenger ,..i only stated a fact that others were saying nothing else

 

selfies is the one i`m more ticked off with then this one..i just was not impressed with the third one same as others there was way better ones then his ok ..this is all were saying ..his was just ok .. and if i knew what i know now on where to get stuff then mine would be way better next time if i enter  ..so the feed back im getting from players on locations  helps me in the future..this will be the last statement on this subject from  me...........
