Although I'm a Recruit right now, I just wanna know that in 2.0 you lose your rating and rank but keep the crystals. But if you're new and you just joined would it be unfair because you'd be having more crystals than me and you know what to buy and you're more experienced? And congrats koolwalky for becoming a mod. :D

So every time a new recruit joins everyone should go back to having their original weapons and hull? That is pretty much your argument, but how does that make any sense?

 

Of course people that have invested more time are going to have more crystals and understand what to buy, deal with it.

I recall hearing a few months back that 2.0 would come out late November early December and DEFINITELY before the end of the year.

Now i've been hearing people say March 2011, is this true?!

look ppl, stop complaining about the dates, tanki's original plans must have been an optimistic hope, if 2.0 isn't ready I'd prefer them to postpone it than give us a useless version with loads of lag and glitches too early!

No, if they release 2.0 now then it will probs be laggy or glitchy at the moment, so we should wait till it is released when it will be fine!

I think the problem here skitee is that most people made upgrade purchases based on the timeline given. For example I bought safari paint, M0 ricco, M1 Thunder, M0 freeze, and M1 viking for testing thinking it was a risk free purchase and in december it would all come back to me. I could then define my upgrade plan in 2.0 and see if there were other weapons I might enjoy playing at an M3 level.

 

If I knew it was going to take this long I would have just stuck to my original plan of getting an M3 isidia and M2 hornet and be on my way to my M3 hornet, but that is not the case.

 

So now I am stuck here with my M2 isidia and M1 hornet in more competitive games trying my best not to get totally owned.

 

If someone is going to be so bold as to drop a date down on Open Beta testing, the least they can do is think about how it may effect their users.

This is really not the point of my post. I am merely trying to say that if there is a seemingly hard and fast plan in place, people will make decisions based on that plan. Now that the date is constantly being pushed back, it is much harder for some that utilized the "risk free" purchase approach to gain crystals because they (the developers) could not hit their proposed deadlines.

 

Is it the end of the world, definitely not. Is it a PIMA, sure is. Now I have to scratch and claw for crystals for a while at this rank whilst I wait for these guys to get a viable open beta version out to the tanki world.
