This is an unusual topic but i need advice. Ok...

 

I got a crush on a guy who is in 10th grade (I'm in 8th). His name is Matthew Rajan. He's famous for being one of the best runners at school. I'm studying in an Indian school in India, but I'm brought up in a Russian-American culture. The thing is that in my current school ppl doesn't know what is dating and no one dates each other. And no one has a crush on each other, except for me, becuz i'm coming from another culture.

 

 The weird thing is that he doesn't look attractive, but i can't get this guy out of my mind. We've made eye-contacts before, I'm shy to speak with him. Can someone gimme advice on this?

What? I am an Indian and study in an Indian school in India, and people here sure know what dating is! If he's in tenth, better not disclose your grade (he won't say no if you're american :P). Just speak with him, he won't tell anyone. Usually in my school, people become so shy if someone proposes to them and they reject that they don't tell anyone else.

 

So either way, you're safe ;) . If he accepts, good for you.

Just talk to him more and act like if you don't have a crush on him. When the right day comes, just tell him that you have a crush on him. Maybe if he gets to know you better, he might date you.

Well, you'd have to overcome your fear of talking to him... That would also be a decent way to find out whether your 'crush' has any proper basis in terms of liking him for who he is, or whether you just have a crush on him because of what you perceive him to be like, which is the case at the moment. The more time you take agonising over it whilst you don't act, the more your imagination will over-hype your feelings beyond reason.

 

Get advice from friends, come up with some way in which to open conversation with him if you really want to do so, and get to know him as a person first - perceptions are often inaccurate.
