User Interface Improvements / In Battle Help

Why not add a second row of buttons under the existing row in the current user interface? These could include hyperlinks such as 'Forum', 'Help', 'Homepage', 'Live Streams', 'Clans', 'Tips', 'V-Logs' etc. Sorry that I can't produce a visual aid, but if someone could help me do so it would be great.

 

The reason this would be a good idea would be so that players who just bookmark Tanki Online as soon as they enter the servers don't completely miss out on the homepage, as well as promote awareness of areas outside the game.

 

I would have this second row only appear in the lobby, because it could be too cluttered in battle.

Also, I think that when you are respawning, useful help should be displayed near the top of the screen, such as 'To turn your turret press Z, X and C' or 'a gold box is dropped randomly in a battle at any time--begging won't help' to help newbie players (or those around my rank who still beg for gold boxes). 

 

I'm sure that these will be useful additions to the game and surely can't cause any harm; but what do you think?

Yeah this should be implemented plus people will use the forum more often thanks to the link :D.Now I think those links should be placed in some sort of "Help" menu  in the game.

Yep, something like that--thanks! Although we won't need a 'Game' button for obvious reasons.

HUGHIY: The "Game" button would be the same link as the one at the top of this page so you could open a browser window to see the Tanki main page from your flash screen as an outside link.

 

Indra_Otsutski:"drop down menu links" in a game are actually anti-productive. You want to keep the interface simple and available for those seeking alternate information. As an experienced designer with over 15+ years of owning my own design company "drop downs" are really only functional if you have complex categorized information which you would not want in a game interface. The most successful game interfaces are those with the  catch phrase of K.I.S.S also known as "Keep It Simple Stupid".

True, and I hope u don't have to start a new tab.

 

For example, the wiki button will just open in the game, just like the garage, without having to link to the official wiki site.

 

That way, I could search for relevant info while still in-game. Maybe there should be a search option for the wiki.

I cannot understand why a person such as you has to follow me around to different threads and attack me personally? Sadly the MODS had to close the last thread by request because you turned it into a personal attack crusade that contributed nothing to the thread other than to harass (and attempt to insult) me. I see that you have really not contributed anything to this one either ( I actually designed a graphic to help HUGHIY illustrate his idea). 

 

You might want to re-read the last thread that you attacked me on, I told you I am RETIRED (therefore there would be no reason to solicit any business, now would there?). I don't know what country you come from, but in design (graphic, layout, web) KISS was a commonly used acronym where I come from (but seeing as you know everything about me ) once again you should have known that? (SMH hardly).

 

As for the "why" I play this game......my 10 year old son plays. He asked me to play also. Is that OK with you? Is that good enough reason for me to be able to play? (I will not start with the comparisons about his maturity as compared to yours on public forums).

Nice idea, but your second one already exists. Well, kind of. Newbies do have a small panel saying Z X and C control the turret.

LISTEN I am not trying to follow you in the first place I just enabled the "follow" option in the general content or I&S section I think so get notifications whenever a new topic is posted or a existing topic has been replied plus I am not even trying to personaly attack you!!! I am just a regular dude sharing thoughts and giving suggestions to this forum.Besides I thought the photoshopped picture of yours was pretty good so if you are gonna keep complaining that I am some sort of enemy of you then go ahead I will still share my thoughts and sugggestions regardless of your behavior.Also who said(besides you) that I don't try to add anything positive to this community!!!
