XP/BP Paint

Do any of you XP or BP players had the trouble of choosing the right paint, for the right hull, for the right battle?

I have the Dirty paint, although 8% rail protection is close to 10%, it just couldn't work. Even micro-upgrading the paint to 10% won't grant you access to XP/BP battles.

 

So I'm thinking of a unique paint which provides only Railgun protection. The percentage of protection varies depending on the hull you're equipping.

For instance, if you equipped m2 Hornet with that special paint, the percentage will be set to 10%. If you bought Hornet m3, the percentage drops to 0%. If you switch to Wasp m2, the percentage raises to 20%

 

With this paint in hand, you can join any XP and BP battles WITHOUT:

 

1. Spending crystals on the wrong paint.

 

2. Buying multiple paints of different percentage of protection when switching to a different modification/hull.

 

If unnecessary, you may delete it.

Well. It seems like you're spending crystals on something which eventually 'fades' away. Means you've bought that paint when you had m2 equipment for 35, 000 crystals. Once you upgraded your hornet to m3, and the protection dropped from 10-20% to 0%, you basically wasted your crystals.

 

You can buy necessary paints which already exist in-game.

 

Buy Forester for Wasp m3. It costs 100 crystals and is no way near to being expensive.

Keep green paint for Hornet m3. 

 

Buy Fracture for Hornet m2. It's the cheapest, among other paints, paint which allows you to enter XP battles with m2 hornet.

 

If such an idea is to be implemented, I'm sure that special paint would cost more than 35-45K crystals. So that's an inconvenience.

It would be usefull, if

- you can enter XP/BP format with _any_ paint that has _more_or_equal_ the required rail protection for _your_currently_equipped_hull_

- if the protection is above maximum for your equipped hull it's protection is automatically adjusted to the allowerd maximum

Hate to admit it, but you do have a point.

 

I just wanna help out people who are like "Dang it, got the wrong paint!"

 

The all-in-one paint can save us the headache ya' know?

 

And when I play XP/BP in 1v1, the opponent usually doesn't possess the right paint for the right battle.

 

If this idea is really impractical, I hope the developers allow MUed paints with 10% rail, just like my dirty...

MUs have to be off in XP/BP, to ensure the 2-shot-kill paradigma. All paints and weapons are made to match this one target - be a 2-shot-kill.

(Whereby you have to consider indirect hits as well, which are when the shot that hits you has passed through another tank before).

Therefor no MUs.. therefor paint restrictions.

Why not allow paints with EXACT 10% rail protection to enter? Be it base stats or MUed?

 

If the paint is MUed above 10%, it will be blocked from entering XP/BP.

 

Whether your paint can enter or not depends on your current percentage of protection, base or MU.

 

That way, tanks will still be killed in 2 shots, right?

Great Idea ! But I think you have a little mistake there.... if you equipped m2 Hornet with that special paint, the percentage will be set to 20%  

 

About your post DarkOperative, Well actually  you're right, But I'm pretty sure that players will buy this paint. Only because it's a "Special paint" .
