Mine - Damage beyond the grave

Hey,

 

So, if a tanker dies, all of his mines are instantly removed from the battlefield and thats it. This gives a problem, which is wasted mines, and lack of will to put more, because you might die.

 

My sugestion is to make a modification to this. Instead of the mines simply disappear, why not make them explode and make splash damage in a X radius, with decreasing intensity.

 

This would mean that a tank passing close to a mine will receive damage, which is an advantage while you are fighting another tank, heads up and you put a mine on the floor to kill him, but he kills you without stepping on the mine. This gives a chance to kill him, despite the fact that you are dead. It's a bit like the burn damage from a firebird.

 

To make it more interesting, maybe giving the mine splash damage indiferent to teams. This means that when a tank puts lot of mines around a flag and is killed, his mines could possibly do a lot of damage or kill those guarding the said flag.

 

Please feel free to add to the ideia.

I find your suggestion quite problematic because what if a tanker lays God-knows-how-many mines in CTF and he dies but the mines will not dissapear(lets say that tanker is a drugger).Does that mean that in order to get the flag you have to get past the enemy team(including drugger) AND you have to run over those God-knows-how-many mines just to get a flag? I don't approve this idea bro.

when a tank has placed some mines down and then he die this mines won't disappear but they are gonna explode automatic with his death

 

if u are close to them u are gonna die or recieve some damage

 

no one said those mines are gonna exist for the eternity

Look, this seems like a good idea now but, I agree with Indra, there have been much more druggers, since the update.  I upvoted for show of support but, not a very good idea.

They explode when the tanker is destroyed like someone rank over all of them at once and anyone close gets damage to their tank.

I support, and maybe it should also make you get points for damaging a tank with the splash damage. I mean if you die, mines explode, another tank is hurt because of the splash, you will get some points from that tank when it is destroyed. +1

Like the later players said, my idea is not to have the mines there for ever, but making them explode when the tank is killed.

 

This way it would be more fair, because you are spending crystals when laying mines, that are just going to waste. Also, I'm not sure if you should get points for damaging other players.

 

In my opinion, if the mines damage all players, indiferent of teams when they explode this way, or the tanker who laid them doesn't get points, or you could make him receive points for enemies damaged and loose points for team mates damaged.
