It's simple. Adults are earning money by themselves so these prices hurts more adults.

The adults also realize it's stupid to spend 3,000 worth of crystals (supplies/drugs) in battle just to earn back 1,000.

You reaction only goes to support what I have explained in my response to .The relationship between the EN community and Tanki HQ has been destroyed, mainly by their lack of interest and involvement in what we are saying. They will need to do a lot of damage control if they want Unity to be a success because, as it stands, I don't think too many players have any trust in the people making the decisions. I truly poor way to launch a new platform.

Okay, so let's just do a little math using one of the most popular packages before and after this update.

 

Previously, before this update, $41.97 bought you exactly 120,000 crystals (no DCC, including bonuses). If you do the math, that means that each US Dollar is worth approximately 2,859 crystals in the $41.97 package.

 

$1 ~ 2,859 crystals

Now let's try the new system. $39.99 buys you 105,000 crystals. Doing the division: in the $39.99 package, $1 ~ 2,625.

I didn't say that the Ukrainian crisis matters to Tanki and that the Greece crisis doesn't. I just said that the Ukrainian crisis is one of the reasons why Russian currency got a lot weaker compared to Euro and USD, and that this is the reason such difference occurred between crystal price in rubles and crystal price when bought with USD and euros.

This souns so poor and cheap man...this again prooves Tanki is not a serious company but group of people who want to make as much money as quckly as possible. I didn't stop playing tanki after Ukraine crisis because It was obvious to me that devs and staff have nothing to do with it and game is cool. Now you show some nationalistic signs giving lower prices for Russians. Now that's poor. Loosing faith in you really....

Man, if we wanted to earn money as quickly as possible, we'd introduce the second currency and limit the abilities of non-buyers to something microscopic (like most games do nowadays). We don't do that however, and are not going to. 

 

And sorry, but I can't see how we are nationalistic, we don't support any conflicts or acts of breaking the international law, no matter which country does that. The only thing I said is that the Ukrainian crisis is one of the reasons ruble got so weak.

 

The current situation has nothing to do with the crisis in the Ukraine and has everything to do with the US being a net exporter of oil now which has caused oil prices to drop for the past 10 months or so.

 

At least be honest instead of blaming something that is unrelated.

 

I called this about 6-8 months ago when crystal drops were pulled from the game. If nobody believes me here is a post:

I said drops were removed because the ruble was declining in value (about 50% over the past year) and it's because of a saturated oil market.

 

This is why people who buy crystals in USD will never get parity with rates for those who buy in rubles.

I have been traveler of the world in the past so one of the things I dealt with was exchange rates, etc. - along with being very knowledgeable about world affairs (I actually spent a good deal of time studying the Soviet Union when I was in school - now I feel really old!).

 

I also know that Russia depends heavily on energy exports (especially Khanty–Mansi Autonomous Okrug where much of Russia's production takes place). It's painfully obvious that the decline in oil prices has hurt the Russian economy.

 

Still, if you are having issues with income the last thing you want is the perception of raising prices.

 

I don't think you guys are looking at the big picture. If we don't buy anything then you earn nothing. Getting us to buy something means you end up with more money than you had before. Having such a major difference in crystal packages doesn't make people want to buy.

 

Wouldn't management rather get $50 US for 350,000 crystals than nothing at all?  There is no justification whatsoever for us having to pay double what Russians pay because crystals are an intangible item - you guys are not making them or producing them in a factory. The value is 100% controlled by Tanki. There is no competition; there is no other entity selling crystals for use in Tanki.

 

When the economy is bad it is a buyer's market - it is never a seller's market. Only when the economy is strong can a seller demand higher prices.

Many "buyers" aren't spending money right now because of the high prices and the so-called "Flash to Unity transfer" rumors. The decrease in prices almost encouraged me to change my mind, but now that they decided not to do anything, I'm keeping my word, and many other "buyers" are doing the same. Not a cent more.
