There is a very big difference between Visa and prepaid cards

 

I hope the amendment to the prepaid cards offers as soon as possible

 

And to not Buy Crystal after today if the offers have not changed

 

Simple solution:

 

- get a bank account

- have them give you a free debit credit card (it does not loan you money but instead uses "prepaid" money you already have in that account)

And don't forget how much more less of a financial risk they take with credit and debit credit cards Tanki takes compared to the prepaid cards, in addition to their transactions costs for working with those businesses being a lot less money.

Plus people using prepaid cards are typically less likely to continue using them, unlike those using the other two types. ;)

I'm sorry Tanki, but you lost a customer.

The fact that you admit to changing the hame in 2012 to become heavily monitized and that it was not a wise decision, say your focus has changed, but continue to expand on those monitizaion strategies, and created a two tier purchasing system in the first place have given me no choice but to cease further financial support to this game.

Now 143 000 + 126 000 = 269 000 × 2 = 538 000

This is much less than before!

In the past the same price equal to more than now

150 000 + 200 000 = 350 000 ×2 = 700 000

No, previously the cc one used ton only be about 450 thousand crystals for almost double the money.

He was referring to what the prepaid card used to offer (which was better than what cc's used to offer).

 

Either way, as I said earlier, basically any child can get a financial institution account where one can then easily acquire a debit credit card.

Since the debit credit cards don't loan you money (which credit cards do), but instead only use the money you have in your account,.it's essentially like a prepaid card but cheaper than them...

Hey, there's no precise info on that. Once the economical model of the new Tanki takes its final shape, we'll be able to tell. For now it's not clear at all. If it's close to the current model, there might be a transfer mechanism. If it's not, there will at least be goodies for those who were dedicated players of the current TO.

If the new Unity version of Tanki doesn't allow for our current accounts to be transferred over with what we currently have then the next best thing would be for tanki to calculate for each player the current value of assets in each player's account (right before the Unity version starts) and transfer that value to crystals in the player's new Unity account.

 

For clarification here are some examples using current game crystal costs:

 

 

M3 rail is valued at 218,300 crystals.  If 500,000 crystals have been spent on mini-upgrades for it then the total value of this asset would be 718,300 crystals.

 

Tundra paint is valued at 35,500 crystals.  With 0 mini-upgrades its value would remain at 35,500 crystals.

 

200 repair kits valued at 150 each would have a total value of 30,000 crystals.

 

 

Once the value of a player's current assets in his account is determined that value would be the opening crystal balance in the same player's new Unity Tanki account.  This may not be a 1:1 ratio depending upon the pricing rate of assets in the new Unity version of Tanki but some fair equivalent could be determined.

 

What I have suggested so far isn't perfect.  For example, maybe a player currently has 500 of each supply (unused) that may or may not have been purchased in a "supplies 500 kit" at 55% off.  The current value of this kit is 78,749 crystals.  Having 500 of each supply (unused) would have a value of 78,749 crystals.

 

Whether a player's current account assets were purchased with real money or simply collected from game play, the value of the player's current assets would be the same either way.

 

Maybe Tanki's administration in Perm, Russia, is already considering something like this. I don't know.  For many players such as me it would be comforting to know that our time and/or money spent on the current version of Tanki won't be lost in the new Unity version.

 

What I have suggested is only a starting point but I hope it is helpful.   :)

Ummm, based on how you use the word "greed" (not who you use it to describe but rather how you use it, of which I did not keep unremoved, in order to save space), both those you accuse of being greedy and you are greedy.

Well, let me ask u something are u a representative of a Credit/Debit card agency, selling cards/ banks acc to everyone?? -_-

you buy crystals and would love to invest more? good..

but stop suggesting ways, one can't implement. u are saying open bank acc or get a card. its not an easy task. u r defying the fact that majority of players are under 15. plus opening a bank acc in any country requires undergoing various levels of verifications. who cares to open an acc or get a card just for tanki? i'd rather not play a game like this. 

one cannot in any way "own" a credit / debit card by any means under the age 18 [lowest/ may increase in various countries], else the card is marked minor, limiting it use [offline @ ATM's only, correct me if i m wrong]

 

i have a credit card, even a paypal acc. but due to my country's rules and regulations for banking we can't use any card for internation purchase, but only to recieve money. paypal is also not allowed to hold funds in our country too. left with only gift cards and SMS.

 

so my point is stop imposing ur ideas on others when u don't understand their situation.

+ it much more easy to get hands on a gift card then to undergo the hectic process of banking for a ~15 player [majority]  <_<

Please note that the I have updated the original post regarding changes to the payment section.

Some of the changes in the original post are now removed. Upon careful revision, we realized that implementing the measures in question all at once would have affected the game’s economy negatively. So we’ve decided to withhold them for now, until we can find a more gradual way of implementing them.

Rest assured that we will continue to explore ways to make Euro and USD purchases more advantageous for players. However, it will take some time.
