Important Changes in Daily Missions Rewards

To be honest, rewards were too high, really easy to get them.

Total reward is still better than the previous free daily gift, so thanks tanki.

Guys, there where too many drugs in battles in those 2 weeks ...

Agreed. Rewards were obviously to high.

Nice for us Tankers, no doubt: bad for the game.

After collecting the 50% reducted ones for some days IMO they are good as they are now.

Still better than the free Daily Gifts and with the free change option you

can still skip one mission that you don 't like.

The missions created at least more variety in battles which is excellent.

Just don 't change the reward by paying for a change, you could afford that easily with

the prior huge Daily Rewards: now no longer.

1- The use of drugs is the same as the use of drugging because using drugs is drugging, so it's the same topic.

2- I would still drug but not for the reasons you mentioned. I'd do it to counter the hacking and sabotaging.

WHY IS NO ONE WHO HAS ATTACKED ME ON THE FORUMS GOING AFTER THE HACKERS & SABATEURS?

I propose it's because they either are either of those or they are friends of either.

I was Skype and Tanki friends with Tanki users for about a couple weeks and found out that they are both, so I blocked all of them from both.

3- No, Bitcoins or Monopoly money or other similar currency is most related to Tanki drugging. See #2 above.

About number 2... you still speak of "hackers". So my question(s) to you are: Where, when and how? Last known hack I've heard of is the jump hack, but even that's not in a huge number. So really... your argument of hackers being in battles is almost irrelevant. People sabotaging battles; that's an issue that's been addressed on several occasions and has yet to be dealt with. And honestly, if that's your "reason" for drugging, that's kinda stupid.

The rest of whatever you had to say I disregarded because it's just gibberish.

Tanki, this is for 5x fund : CLAP CLAP CLAP!

Tanki, this is for your daily mission reduce by 50%: BOEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !

The fact that we received 5x battle fund yesterday hardly makes up for all of bs cards we've been dealt.

Hey ChineseTankMan for a guy who has supposedly blocked me and is ignoring me, you sure do a lot of talking about me. If you go through our posts I always referred to the topic. You just try to downgrade everyone who challenged you with facts by your favorite tactic - calling them liers. Anyone going back through your posts will see that you seem to do that alot too. Your the one who baits people. I was willing to let it lay, but you just can't help youself and have to keep keep taking shots at me. If you can't take facts then go away troll.

Here are my Thoughts:::

Before Daily Missions you would get either 1 DCC or some free crystals or some combination of Power up, shield, Mines, etc. and that's all. When you released Daily missions you gave everyone 3 missions per day, so basically everyone got 3 free things per day (I'm assuming most tankers would play that day until all three missions were completed ( I do). This is what is throwing the game off balance. Everyone is getting 3 times as much free stuff. you need to drop the number of daily missions to 1 maybe 2 to equalize back to before daily missions.

Dude, you misunderstand the meaning of the word "free".

These missions are not free gifts. You have to do something to get the reward. If I tell you to pick up the garbage  and you get $ for that, that's not free.

Missions include formats I don't play (DM for example) or maps I don't like (if they are the only available in order to complete some mission). Considering I don't play all day long (as most of us don't play all day long), that's a cost in time and effort in sides of the game we are not interested in, so I suggest you remove the word "free" or "gifts" in regard to missions.

Daily bonus was a gift. Daily missions are not.

(I said earlier)

...until I *created* one, there was NOT ONE CP BATTLE on those 12 servers (General to Gizmo).

Last Monday I found 32 CP battles at the highest rank at that time of day. What is the big change??

---

I created another Poly CP Pro this morning, and it was popular. After changing the mission for "Collect Gold Box" (I never get them,

and seldom try)...I got TWO of them today. :o

Tankers,

Two weeks ago we rolled out the Daily Missions feature and it has proven to be hugely popular.

As with every new feature we release, we’ve been monitoring all the data and statistics very closely. This analysis cannot be done on test servers because these can never accurately predict what will happen in the actual in-game world.

From our observations, it is clear that the current system for mission difficulty vs reward is out of balance and requires re-adjustment. As it is, the system is affecting the game’s economy negatively.

We understand that the feature is popular as it is. However, we must consider the long-term consequences of our decisions. If we allow the system to remain as it is, the game economy will lose stability, ultimately ruining the game for players.

Therefore, as an experiment, we have lowered the daily mission reward sizes by 50%.

A few important points:

  • The rewards for daily missions that have already been issued will not be changed
  • Only the rewards for missions issued after the change will be affected
  • Missions with XT prizes will not be affected

We’ll be monitoring the daily mission statistics very closely, increasing or decreasing rewards and difficulty accordingly until we find the right balance.

ok then now u can see the change guys ! change it back

Dude...Daily bonus was a gift. Daily missions are not.

Yes, but if you do complete them, the combined rewards are greater than the old gifts. I would like to see MORE OF THE NECESSARY BATTLES POSTED (not created by players) when a Daily Mission calls for playing in one. I am about 1 in 4 in creating missions people will join.

Since the introduction of daily missions, I see TDM battles where the player count is 1 v 1 which is surely DM!  It's a mockery really.  Not that TO give a hoot!

Yes, but if I don't complete them - which is going to be the case soon - the combined rewards will be zero. That is, much less than the old gifts.. which were really gift, not payed tasks.

Day after day I like them all the less, and I don't even take rewards into consideration.

Daily missions put me to play in ways I don't like. Thus, it's a measure that in reality takes away the old daily gift of supplies or crystals. So, I would much rather get old daily gift back.

I PREFER DAILY GIFT BACK. DAILY MISSIONS SUCK. -_-

I've already answered that in a different post.

Here's a rehash..

1- What I have called Sabotaging but gamers I found out call "Boosting".

What this info doesn't mention is that the same concept applies to "team" play (think, man).

//Boosting

A form of improving one's ranking in league tables, boosting is most common in 1 vs 1 fighting games such as Street Fighter IV and Tekken. Players will set up multiple accounts and play one against the other. The primary account will get an easy win due to no or little input from the second account. The major problem with this method is high cost since the boosting player requires at least two instances of the program usually through different PCs, IP addresses and copies of the game. Additionally, some games allow matches to be uploaded and viewed by others on replay channel. If the boosting player accidentally allows this, their boosting match can be seen by others. This also works in MMORPG games where you can set up multiple accounts and then conquer them. An example of this is Battledawn where you can set up another account conquer it to increase your score, power and taxation.

Even without matches being seen, players who boost can usually be easily identified, since they will have an extremely high number of points in relation to the number of matches played. For example, the 'top-ranked' player in Super Street Fighter IV has ≈35,000 pp (player points); in comparison, Daigo Umehara, widely regarded as the best player in the world,[7] currently has ≈6,500 pp.//

2- Artificial Lagging is accomplished by hacking.

//In the peer-to-peer gaming model, lagging is what happens when the stream of data between one or more players gets slowed or interrupted, causing movement to stutter and make opponents appear to behave erratically. By using a lag switch, a player is able to disrupt upload from the client to the server, while their own client queues up the actions performed. The goal is to gain advantage over another player without reciprocation; opponents slow down or stop moving, allowing the lag switch user to easily outmaneuver them. From the opponent's perspective, the player using the device may appear to be teleporting, invisible or invincible, while the opponents suffer delayed animations and fast-forwarded game play, delivered in bursts.[3] Some gaming communities refer to this method as "tapping" which refers to the users "tapping" on and off their internet connection to create the lag.

The term "lag switch" encompasses many methods of disrupting the network communication between a client and its server. One method is by attaching a physical device, called a hardware lag switch, to a standard Ethernet cable. By flipping the switch on and off, the physical connection between the client and the server is disrupted. The designers of Video game console hardware have started to introduce built-in protection against lag switches in the form of voltage detectors, which detect a change in voltage when the switch is flipped. Some manufacturers have taken counter measures to bypass or trick this detector.[4] This can also be achieved by simply unplugging the Ethernet cord going to the client, causing a disruption in the player's internet connection. Other methods, called a software or wireless lag switch, involve using a computer program. In this method, the cheater runs an application on a computer connected to the same network as the client. The application hogs the network bandwidth, disrupting the communication between the client and its server. However, one cannot do this for an unlimited amount of time. Usually, having no internet connection for 30 seconds will cause one's character / player to be kicked from the game due to inactivity / no internet connection.

In the peer-to-peer gaming model, lagging refers to a player with a faster connection flooding an opponent(s) using a basic denial-of-service attack outside the game structure.//

...I also found, after finding the above, that there are videos on HOW to do these things.

PLUS the fact that I had Tanki users who cheat (though I didn't know it at the time) invite me to participate in their sabotaging and hacking on my behalf, even becoming Skype friends with them before I found out.

Once I found out that they are cheaters and specifically those two kinds, I removed them from friendship in Skype and Tanki and blocked them.

What's odd about all this is that Tanki seems to surprisingly lack the tools and/or people to control hackers and saboteurs.

Many other "Real" online games that I've played or watched others play, have strict limits on how high a player's ping can be (exceeding the limit for too long gets you booted from that server) and most of these games have very accessible reporting/complaint features, which allow honest players to easily flag a hacker/saboteur for the Moderators.

What do we have in Tanki? No limit on high ping, and an out-dated "vote" command that 90% of players have never heard about or used. Laggers own XP battles and saboteurs are everywhere. Why don't the developers come up with, at the very least, a more accessible complaint/report feature? No one knows.

It's also possible to hack people to get high enough games so the hacked will get booted.
I noticed that with other computer games.

So using the ping boot option is unwise due to it being another hacker option.

And the sabotaging only really showed up after the high rewards of the daily missions.

And one can't actually point out who the hacker is (when the hacker is employing artificial lag, for instance) but only the team the hacker is trying to help, so your solution won't help.

I 'll tell you why not.

Because, the harder the game gets, the more necessary paying for a better tank or supplies is. Especially, if one can't blame Tanki for those hard conditions, i.e. that saboteurs / hackers / misfit behavior produce. ;)

I am one of the best in the PRO battles that outlaw drugs.

The thing is, most of the hackers and saboteurs don't have the money/crystals to join PRO battles, or else I'd be doing worse there than in the regular battles with drugs because they now have all those free drugs.
