Important Changes in Daily Missions Rewards

Oh look, another "experiment." Not good. In my opinion a 25% decrease would have sufficed if you were that worried about profits. Missions were a great source of income, and worth the effort to complete, now will be just a trickle compared to before. -_-

If you're going to reduce rewards by 50%, then you should also reduce time to complete missions by 50% as well. I'm not going to waste an hour collecting boxes for just a few hundred crystals.

This is just a mistake. Look for example at Crystal Boxes. When they were removed, the income of Crystals for all players was heavily decreased. Did Tanki care? Was there a tweak in the Garage Prices or Gold Box values? No. Although the removal of Crystal Boxes harmed the economy and made purchasing things in the Garage harder without buying Crystals, Tanki didn't balance anything back.

In other words, when our income is decreased too much, nothing is done about it. We're on our own. But when our income is increased too much - OH NO! It needs to be balanced.

Reduce the crystal rewards by 50% OK whatever. I agree it was a LOT.

In two weeks, guess what? From 19,000 Crystals to 128,000 Crystals.

But can you keep supplies at the same rate? :D Or maybe only lower it by 20% or something.

Lets face it guys, normal battles are no longer playable without supplies.

Furthermore, I found out by experience that Double crystal card is separate from Daily Missions. It is given to you randomly.

So how will PRO passes work? Will it also be distributed like the double crystal card, or will it be a reward from a Mission? Still waiting on those PRO passes.

(edit) Daily Missions is what made me play more TO by the way. Is there a chance, even a small chance, that you can increase missions? Is it possible to give us more than three? Before missions came, I hardly played Tanki. Maybe I played between one or two battles every 3-4 weeks? Sooo yeah. Now I'm back to playing pretty much 4-5 times a week. :D

(edit2) And by the way, Tankers. These aren't really tests or experiments. They're permanent updates.

Look at that "Crystal box Experiment." Lol yeah ok.

TO doesn't move backwards, only forwards. And if this really is a TEST or EXPERIMENT, then it's testing for Unity Tanki, not Flash tanki. Soo yeah.

Don't expect this to update to be removed.

Right, but if the developers are sure this affects game balance more than it was expected, then they are doing the right thing.

this doesn't affect the game balance. It affects Tanki's bank balance. Ridden people. -_- <_<

Tankers,

Two weeks ago we rolled out the Daily Missions feature and it has proven to be hugely popular.

As with every new feature we release, we’ve been monitoring all the data and statistics very closely. This analysis cannot be done on test servers because these can never accurately predict what will happen in the actual in-game world.

From our observations, it is clear that the current system for mission difficulty vs reward is out of balance and requires re-adjustment. As it is, the system is affecting the game’s economy negatively.

We understand that the feature is popular as it is. However, we must consider the long-term consequences of our decisions. If we allow the system to remain as it is, the game economy will lose stability, ultimately ruining the game for players.

Therefore, as an experiment, we have lowered the daily mission reward sizes by 50%.

A few important points:

  • The rewards for daily missions that have already been issued will not be changed
  • Only the rewards for missions issued after the change will be affected
  • Missions with XT prizes will not be affected

We’ll be monitoring the daily mission statistics very closely, increasing or decreasing rewards and difficulty accordingly until we find the right balance.

you should make he missions harder than reducing the rewards...

When you cut too heavily into player's income, you are ALSO negatively effecting balance, by placing too much power into buyer's hands. And stripping the average Joe or Jane of their ability to earn anything meaningful.

How about you give instead lower the prices of the hulls, turrets or paints or even Mu's by 50%?

You know what really sucks?

This year, we've only had 1 50% sale off Hulls/Turrets. The rest have been 25% -____-

I got bunch of supplies today for mission rewards and those were the last... :(

But actually I think this is a good update, for much better balance

Remember last year? Every weekend there was a sale on a certain Turret or on Crystals Purchasing in a certain method  This year only the major discounts were held, and only one was 50% - Tanki's getting way too greedy.

Tanki devs please don't decrease the sizes of rewards by 50%, 15%-20% is OK. Or please let them be as they were, don't decrease the reward size.

If you still wanna decrease it -___-, give 50% discount on hulls and turrets in every 2 - 3 months.

Up vote this my frndz

This means that XP will be impossible to obtain ?

KillerNick95, the answer to your question is provided in the original post (see below):

As for crazyyy_s:

yes

crazyyy_s, Please stop spreading incorrect information.

Everyone else, please make sure you re-read the original post correctly before asking questions or making assumptions.

The devs are making this decision based on data that they have collected over the past couple of weeks. They will continue to collect data and act accordingly in the best interest of the game. And by "the best interest of the game" I mean, "keeping the game in a healthy balance so that players can continue to enjoy it".

Remember, if anything in the game balance is allowed to fly out the window, some people might enjoy the trip temporarily, but the game would be ruined in the long term, and then nobody — not even those having fun — will be able to play it anymore.

Please be supportive so that this situation can be turned into something positive i.e. a better, healthier game for everyone to enjoy.

Yeah. Almost every weekend, there was a sale on a few certain hulls/turrets (sometimes paints)

Double Battle funds came like every week or two.

And who could forgot the 1 hour 70% sales that we got once a month?

They figured the missions were too easy for the rewards given, so the rewards were slashed. Now, you will work crappy missions to get the same rewards you used to get in daily bonuses without doing anything. Yay, so fine!

Instead of making interesting missions and removing silly ones like collect 2 repair kits, blah blah, they reduce the reward. Reducing the rewards is very easy, you change a few lines of code, but making interesting missions that deserve those rewards needs thinking and making efforts, which is not exactly an appealing task for people to do.

TO, when are you going to discover that most of your missions are silly and do something about that?
