Decreasing number of players

@@hhgb you don't seem to understand the situation. It's not the amount of people playing that is going down the drain (though earlier this year it did go down from almost 100k players down to now 70k max) it's the economy. More players does not always equal more money to them; more WEALTHY players might mean more money to Alternativa Platform (the company who runs this game), but usually it's middle or working class people that play this type of game mostly and they either can't afford to buy crystals or they don't think it's worth it, or both! Economy is what is going down the drain and it doesn't seem like it'll recover, so even if you see a bunch of people playing the game today, the game might be shut down, along with the company the next day and then none would be able to play the game as it requires the company to run servers for players to play the game.

And tbh I would really be glad if the company would just go bust because this game can't be improved without its economy being reshaped completely.

Earn some rubles then talk to me.

1. Server load balancing - an update meant to spread out players across servers in order to reduce the high load on a few, hence less red.

2. Yes there are fewer players online at this moment, but do read the previous posts on page 1 to know more about it.

3. To be fair, the more you rank up, the less Rio you will see.

  Thanks for the love pal.  In case you haven't had a chance to catch up with the news in the past months, this game is being redesigned all over and from scratch and on a new platform which will allow the devs to make the changes everyone wants but cannot do on this platform + also add many more stuff to better the experience as well as ensuring accessibility to the game is not just an exclusivity of traditional pc/mac users.

... that is a 400k fewer daily users than a yr ago ...

Might want to review the maths there genius :p  But anyway, taking on your premise (not your numbers), it is true there has been a decline in popularity amidst seasonal changes and a vast competition.  Question is ; does this mean that this is the tanki holocaust?  Of course not, the 70k peak concurrent players showing up online on EN,DE,RU servers alone, in spite of summer, are testimony to the very contrary.

Besides, practically all of what is being discussed in this topic had already been discussed more than a year ago by devs and everyone saw it coming, that's why they took the decision of switching to another platform way back.

some lag and boring problems.

And i said graphic and others changes on maps (death zones) and other useless updates. I don't think all those were good things.

In December and January is Christmas holidays and on a lot of countries is winter, and that's why there were too many players online. That ammount of players will never return to the game. More.... now there are 60-70k online, but almost 20k are fake accouts (ghost, second accounts) or people just keep computers turned on and tanki too, so in fact we are just 30-40k

Yes, can't improve much of this on this platform, hence why the game is moving to a new platform to solve all of this.

Wait, so you think the graphics changes and the map updates made that many people run away? If it did then I'm quite thrilled by it  B) Tell you what, when I started playing this game, we used to have people posting guides about "How to consistently get over 15 fps while playing" and that isn't a joke I'm making up.  And are these players you mention gonna complain about the self-destruct zones and that the old old silence or madness were better?  Or that Rio is a severely bad thing?

May be not, but its not a tragedy, see previous comments about this

And according to you, how much "fake accounts" were there in the past when the numbers were higher?  And seriously, do a third of your friends constantly have their "fake accounts" on all the time?

I'd like to settle this once and for all. Tanki Online is losing players and there is nothing unexpected about it. It would be extremely surprising if the numbers did NOT go down. In fact, it's still surprising that the numbers of active players are so high (around 70-80k).

"Why?" you may ask. Well, Unity TO is in development right now and soon enough this version of the game will become secondary to the new Unity. Why bother advertising the game and trying to bring new players into the old and outdated version if the new one will be released soon? This is why the development team significantly reduced all marketing funds and are focusing on nothing other than releasing the Unity version as soon as possible. That's when the adverts will go back up and new players will come flooding into the game.

Until then the number of players will go down, as expected, and there is no point threatening the developers with  "loss of players due to bad updates" because that's not the case.

This game has a lot of people playing it. I mean, Team Fortress 2 only has a peak of 85k players a day with Garry's Mod hitting about 56k. (Of course, nothing compares to the 1 million players on Dota 2...). The point is, Tanki Online is by no means doing badly. I admit, this is my 10th or so account on this game, but I have been playing this game for about 3 years and the game is still here. 70k players is not an all-time low.

TankiOnline made several update in last 2 year and mostly of this updates are against hackers and mults!  :P ( advanced anticheat  /Delete crystal boxes :D ).

so ofcourse TO lost players :

     - 90% of those who leave are hackers (blocked) & mults and the other 10% are leaving because they get bored of this game and they want to try new game.

Title changed

This is because Tanki Online is no longer trying to get new players to join the game. They are waiting for Unity to be released and that's when they will start advertising and other marketing up again, to attract new players. At the moment there is no point getting new players used to this Tanki, when the new version will be released soon.

Makes sense. Thanks for clearing up the confusion. :)

Only a few weeks ago Tanki said it will be two different products, running along side each other and that the current tanki will be here as long as there is demand.

Tanki sabotaging this game big time, slap in the face to its current players.

soon?

Beta testing is opened at the end of 2015 and after that months of testing are going.

probably the "today tanki" load graphs will keep going down untill the developers have an excuse to close the current tanki and keep only the new one open.

That is why i would like account transfers to be allowed like they were planned to be.

Relatively soon. At least on a timeline of developing the game from scratch this one can hopefully be considered to be in its later stages of development.

The thing here is that already-exisiting players are leaving.

I'm not denying the fact that current players are leaving. They always had and they still are. The only difference is that there is no longer a constant flow of new players being attracted into the game to counteract the flow of old players leaving. The only difference between the typical rate of people leaving to the current rate is that there might be a slight increase in player loss due to bad updates, but neither of us know how much effect that really had on the game, so there is no point arguing about it.

Why changed the title? How dare you! If I chose to have a pun-intended title, that's my decision. Change the title back and get out!

In Game Discussion section the titles need to be straightforward and informative, so that players know what to expect when they come to see the topic. For more creative titles you can go to the Off-topic Discussion section. Please see section 2.4.11 of rules for more details.

That's still the plan. It all depends on the players. If enough players (probably at least a quarter of the current amount) continue playing this version and buying crystals here, then of course Flash TO will continue to operate. Although I would be very surprised if there will really be enough dedicated players for this version.

Even though this amount of people was constant before the sale. -.-

And I can't believe people up-voted the moderator even though he made no sense and then down voted me even though I debunked him and gave reasons why he was wrong. So it seems people here are stupid after all. You know what, I'm just wasting my time in this forum, because most of you don't even know what forums are for. Gonna make that topic that I wanted about how to be most efficient about stuff and then I'll just leave, because screw this, if nobody is gonna listen, then stay dumb, why the heck should I care?

The thing which you told does not make sense

So you're saying you don't understand game advertising when developers don't need more players on the game until they finish their product? If you think we're really stupid, then just leave. You don't even like how the economy is like.

Also, Can you answer this question if you're smart?

Mmmmm yes relatively. We know that Unity beta testing is starting at the end of 2015 (november or december) and when you add on that months of testing....I do not expect playable and ready Unity for all before...lets say May or June 2016.

This is some of my prediction

So there is a deliberate strategy to wind down flash then? Spit guards ready.
