Decreasing number of players

This is because Tanki Online is no longer trying to get new players to join the game. They are waiting for Unity to be released and that's when they will start advertising and other marketing up again, to attract new players. At the moment there is no point getting new players used to this Tanki, when the new version will be released soon.

   ===========================================================================================================

Only a few weeks ago Tanki said it will be two different products, running along side each other and that the current tanki will be here as long as there is demand.

Tanki sabotaging this game big time, slap in the face to its current players.

/vote Tanki

That's still the plan. It all depends on the players. If enough players (probably at least a quarter of the current amount) continue playing this version and buying crystals here, then of course Flash TO will continue to operate. Although I would be very surprised if there will really be enough dedicated players for this version.

Thanks for telling the honest story .

So, if I understand you, you are telling us that Tanki has abandoned this version and will not be promoting it any longer. If this true, then why are they still willing to take our money? Are they now lying about keeping this version up and running just to try and milk the last bit of money they can out of all the unsuspecting and trusting players?   This may indeed be the final nails in the coffin for Tanki. The end is near.

Let 's face it: it is a business. In that sense I can understand that TO is not giving the advice to stop buying and in that way ruin their

own company. Look at it from the other side and you will see people who work every day to earn their income for their daily lives.

They sure are milking if you ask me with the latest XT as good example.

Almost nobody needs it, most will have the normal equivalent already (partly) MU 'd in the garage, still some are going wild and

spend heavily on trying to get a XT Mission.

There 's nothing wrong with that till a certain extend...in a way you buy imaginary stuff to have a good and fun experience just like

you would do at an adventure park.

There is difference though, going to an adventure park is a one day experience and people don 't put lots of money and

especially a lot of their time in it.

That 's where TO has a moral responsibility in my opinion. They can call TO Unity brand new or whatever other reason they

can think of: even they understand how most of the players would feel if we lost our accounts.

TO Flash is used as an excuse: if there are enough players left we will keep supporting TO Flash...but that 's unfair.

You are having a better produkt, but you say to your customer: don 't use it, otherwise we stop selling the old inferior one!

In other words, TO is trying to put the responsibility for TO Flash 's survival in our hands.

No, they are. They know very well which produkt has the future so when the time comes I just hope they will do the good

thing and don 't leave players at a slowly? dying TO Flash.

Come forward and show the community that made you possible to build TO Flash (with it 's flaws but in the core really

an awesome game with simple controls but smart gameplay that has a lot to offer) that you don 't see them as just some

buyers but as long time customers, may it be in time and/or money, and do the right thing.

Transfer our accounts or give a decent compensation. "Goodies" is just not good enough. Be fair.

So, I observed the graph for a few days and it seemed like the amount of people loading on servers decreased quite a bit. Perhaps it could be due to many people starting school or college on the 14th of September, though that would be pretty coincidental. Idk, you judge:

exams for indians and schools and college all over the world is decreasing the numbers....it will mostly increase on vacations :)

Very well put. You explained that from a very neutral position, in my opinion. You used the words "moral responsibility". This is going to be the hard part because I think this is the one thing they really struggle with. Many times their "moral compass" has failed them.

I do understand exactly what you mean about it being a business and that staff still needs to be paid and to be honest I feel sorry for their staff. The programmers and even the game developers are not to blame here and I assume that many are suffering right along beside us. It is the people that own the game that have final say and they are ultimately responsible for the dishonest and unethical business practices we are starting to see.  Based off of their recent decisions and actions, it is my opinion that they are now selling a discontinued and obsolete product. TO Flash belongs in the clearance bin now, at a greatly reduced price.

They have been stringing people along for nearly 2 years about the new Unity version. This was a mistake. They should have kept quite about it until it was at the Beta test stage. They made the same mistake with "Tanki Online 2.0" and that really hurt them. Now they are going to have a real hard time earning any real money. How many people are going to spend money on this version? This version may be gone soon and we STILL don't know if we will be able to transfer. So any money spent here, at this point MAY be a complete waste and many are not willing to gamble on that.

They better figure something out fast or they are going to be in trouble, if it isn't too late already.

Tanki Online 2.0 was not really their mistake. Adobe Flash player Molehill as it was called never became a success.

Much too experimental and most likely a bad product.

Adobe Flash is actually not that great, and it 's IMO impressive what our Devs now made with it!

TO Unity will definitely see the daylight if Alternativa/TO itself is still around.

Unity is a tested and well established platform and TO Unity gives all the opportunities to have a bright future.

For TO as a company and for us players.

We can even have weather, moving elements etc. in the Maps.

And all this with relative ease because Unity already contains all these exciting possibilities.

The TO Devs won 't longer have to develop everything from scratch.

The extensions they need will be available in Unity 's editor and will just need to be adjusted.

This will certainly improve the speed of updates and bug repair.

Unity will have bugs like any new program, but it 's not a "bugcontainer" like Flash is.

TO Flash will in the beginning be the blueprint, but I guess it will soon grow to a much improved and

also somewhat changed game.

I don 't believe it will ever become a WOT clone like some fear.

The arcade-like and fast gameplay is TO 's unique trademark and IMO they won 't change that.

quote: "They should have kept quite about it until it was at the Beta test stage"

Totally agree. The worst mistake was them promising us a full transfer of our accounts when they

first introduced their Unity plans.

I don 't believe it was a deliberate lie, but it surely is something which is no longer their intention.

Knowing this the latest updates become questionable.

Personal discounts that will come soon, the same modification discount, XT equipment,

the possibility to skip upgrades and go straight to M3 which will entice high ranked players etc.

Is this fair? I don 't know, it 's what all companies do in the end. Selling there product.

If TO has a fair compensation (equipment and rankwise) for the most likely loss of our accounts,

most players will probably get over it and TO Unity will start with a healthy number and also

satisfied players base.

If not it has all the potential to backfire at them and in that case I will be the first to applaud that:

you reap what you sow.

All the postponing of news about account transfer doesn 't really help to look at things in a more

positive way, though I haven 't given up all hope.

This ungoing uncertaintity is not good for the TO community that 's a sure thing.

the systen still works because players are too cheap to get their equipment the hard way

@Lord-of-the-Snipers respect for being a tanker who at least did his homework of digging up a little more information about the technical stuff and see the real side of things behind the game and not just the game.

And no you don't have to worry at all about tanki becoming a sim like WoT, actually lately its been a quite the other way round :p

Man, does it look like World of Tanks was actually Tanki in different graphics.
