idea for change to vulcan

i have noticed lately that vulcan seems to have become a not very popular turret

at first i did use it myself but something just did not feel right about the weapon

 

i would maybe suggest removing the gyro mechanism from it

and have it operate like all the other turrets

also i would suggest making it a press and fire without having the time delay but still keep the burn effect or even slightly increase it to compensate for its faster use

 

i think this might improve the weapon and increase its popularity

No the gyro mechanism helps the gun to stay in place even if the hull is being moved into a different position. Vulcan may have a lot of disadvantages but this mechanism helps it to stay on its opponent. The turrets rotation speed is to slow to be shot out of place and have to acquire its target again.

 

I would like for the charge up time to be shortened a bit, and for the the wheel on the rear right to rotate during charge up so you dont have to change views all the time and see if the gun is charging up. However i dont think the charge up should be removed because of the fact that at M3 many players use Vulcan with Mammoth, and with a Freeze and Isida next to them along with them using supplies they will become a nightmare. Also removing the mechanism will result in the turret being identical to Twins, except with longer range, higher damage, faster shooting rate, and overheating.

 

Tanki has already made the mistake of boosting Shafts parameters to get more attention attracted to the turret but they havent realized that the gun is very OP at M0, M1, M2. Even the M3. It just has to charge up halfway and you can kill a Hornet.

 

If you want to boost popularity in a turret then they should have a 70% discount. Firebird was never that popular until that discount where it was only 28,000 crystals at M2.

I agree. It is almost impossible for me to move and shoot with Vulcan.

First you need to master Railgun. Railgun was my first step to understanding how to use Vulcan properly. After that its just a long range twins with a charge up time. Once i buy M2 i will wreck those druggers.

Well, I think that removing the gyro mechanism and the delay before it fires will once again make it too OP. Like when vulcan was released it was very OP. The damage it dealt was so high and the recoil was so strong. I can't remember how much damage m3 vulcan dealt but M4 was 70! I bought graffiti because the gun was so annoying and my paint is useless after its first balancing because not many use vulcan. So I suggest a slight increase in damage would be enough. It will be a nightmare if you use it with a heavy hull and a strong fire paint like Zeus so its self-damage won't be as strong.

They should remove cool-off only retain startup time.

Secondly I think turning speed of Vulcan should get boosted with increase of firing duration. It would be like a pro to the con of overheating effect. It works like - (figurative data only for reference) I just started firing and my turning speed is x. After a t time of continuous firing the turning speed becomes 1.5x or 2x.

Twhy shouldn't scrap the gyro, they should make it more user-friendly in sone way.

Funny remark, because most Vulcan players are the worst druggers

themselves you will find on the battlefield.

Ooh yeah and let 's remove that gyro, make an already OP turret

even more OP. Brilliant idea! <_<
