Lol, have you read how many great ideas are being made every day? It would be at least respectful to reply to some of those ideas, because it is annoying if a mod keeps commenting there  :ph34r:

I follow almost every I&S topic, and i generally see a great idea every few days, not multiple every day :P

Since you came back (for a bit) I have a question. What is up with the server crashes and when it will be fixed? A lot of players are complaining about server crashes and lags every day, so I really want to know what is behind it ;)

As far as I know, you won't get any information about this from Hazel, not just because he "quit" this section, but because he's a Game Designer and isn't responsible for fixing bugs and reducing lags. So he probably doesn't know much about the cause of lags and when they will be fixed.

I too think old tanki was fun... Nowadays hardly any1 plays in stadium.. ahh those goldbox catches in stadium used to be so much fun... unlimited drugs ( I got no problem with current drug system) ... Ok it would be ridiculous to ask if there is any possibility to have 1 day back to old tank I... just 1 day ( though my forum acc says I joined in 2014 ... I joined actually in 2012 but never joined the forum)

Iv never experienced tanki before December 2014, but too think it would be pretty cool to be abl to do that again...

 

Sadly, the mods/devs have a rule that anything that was removed cannot be discused about adding it back...Tanki will never be as it once was..

The developers them people have access to dater which allows them to analyse the situation and see what is missing that will improve. We from the side don't have the access to the dater so we don't really know what is going on. Yh, people do have opinions on forums which we follow up  but its not the all people that play the game nor we know how many people actually play, im sure they do hide some real dater and stuff.

Yes, very true. So many ideas are very bad...others seem pretty good, but they either arnt that good in reality because of drugs and stuff, they would be too hard to make effectively(Some would be time consuming and the smaller, unnoticeable updates would slow significantly. those updates are things that would prevent hacking, lag, and other types of things, and many people would not realize how important they are until they stop), or simply that they have their own ideas that they are working on. Plus, TankiX has been taking up ALOT of their time. I never realized how much work was really put into graphics until i watched some of the Beta game play.....its INSANE!!!! Parkour will be amazing in it! Rio had many more building s in the normal self-destruct areas that are in normal battles that are taller than the tower in current Rio(or at least very close) and they are flat on the top of it. There will be plenty of opportunities for amazing filming in TankiX....

 

But back to the point; yes, there are so many great ideas in the forums, but there are so many bad ideas or ideas that just wouldn't work too..... They really cant look at all of the I&S sections and still have time for the game itself....you may think that they would, but they are people too. They have lives besides this game, and it would be wrong for them to ignore that just to satisfy some whiny players that are in the forums they created...

 

 

 

 

*note: Im not saying everyone is whiny, as plenty of people really do deserve some attention and they rarely ever ask about it, but continuously asking or commenting on it will not change much.....they will look at the ideas when the time comes.  I think they will look at the ideas again when TankiX releases because it will be good to have input

Now please enlighten me who's going to pay for developers' salaries, server support, maintenance costs, marketing costs and other expenses?

What they don't understand is that the developers salary's don't actually fluctuate based on how much revenue the company has gained during one annual year, that's up to people in charge running the company, not necessarily the developers themselves

 

The game balance hasn't been perfect, and that the strain is being felt by players who can't afford to spend as much as those who do spend.

Sometimes you can't fix something that you have tried to adjust so many times to be perfect, that's probably why they are making a new version, since this one has reached its limit.

The developers have tried to make the game as balanced as possible, the whole point of running a free to play game is that fact that the players who join can do so for free without paying any subscription or fee before joining.

 

If you want to experience the game in the same way as players who spend, it is possible, but you have to understand that it would be with increased difficulty, just like on any game. Free to play games allow you to play the game for free, but with no added benefits, if you want them, you have to pay for them, the gap between people who spend and people who don't is not as huge as you would expect, i think certain players are over pessimistic and somewhat jealous over those who spend. While you are at a disadvantage, it is not impossible to compete with those players, its all about how well you earn and choose to spend your virtual currency you are able to gain.

 

I've said before that the game balance shouldn't be contradicted with the game economy, while the game economy has made it more expensive to buy certain things in tanki due to the last few updates (the micro upgrades update in 2013, the micro upgrades update in 2015 recently) it hasn't really changed, and it hasn't become compulsory to spend more money in tanki online to gain the same advantage; however as the game is expanding, they need to maintain more players and manage more servers, they can't continue to do that if the revenue stays the same, so of course im not going to deny that the company is trying to raise its revenue, but its not in the way that players think, tanki is a business and is just acting in a way other businesses would.

 

The game is not as expensive as other games i have seen, of course the russians don't have to pay as much as players living in european countries, i do feel there is some divide between the russians and the international community, until the company chooses to change that, they can't attract as many players from the international community as they would like.

 

Tanki is not easy to run, they simply don't have time to acknowledge most of the activity going on in this part of the forum and possibly most of the others. We should be grateful that some of our ideas are actually being considered; although most of them won't even work, there are other games where the developers don't even consider what the players have got to say or the problems that accrue within the game.

 

Ill give an example, despite the amount of resources Ea had, they still decided to spit in the faces of their players and shut down most if not all of their free to play games, they had potential and they could have hired the right programmers to maintain and fix all the bugs and security holes while bringing in new players at the same time, some players spent thousands and lost it all, all because Ea claimed their game had lost the vibe it once had, what nonsense!

Luckily i spent just $5 on just one of their games, imagine if i spent more, it would have all been lost, pity...

 

Tanki is not that sort of company however, so i see no problem is spending money here

They do listen. It is what the end-users (that's us) need to have in order to function at an optimal level. However, a lot of these suggestions are of a more personalized/individual nature. The ones that do catch their attention would be the ideas that have the entire community's best interest and not just one person.

Players posted so many ideas over the past few years, that if developers were to work on them all it would take them years and years to do that and the game would have no progress in the areas where developers have their own plans for improvement. Things like XT items, Premium accounts, Gifts, Friends system, etc. - those were suggested as soon as the game was released (7 years ago) and the authors of those ideas were waiting for 5 or more years to get their idea added into the game. Developers only got to it now, so if your idea is only a year old, then you can't expect it to be added probably for at least another 3 years.

 

Oh, and if you see someone suggest something and their idea gets added to the game a month later, that simply means that developers already planned to add that feature and have been working on it for a while, and that player simply guessed their plans and suggested something that would be added soon anyway.

Half of this section of the forum is spammed by ridiculous ideas of a troller who has been trolling lately. Why would the devs take this section seriously? And then we complain that our ideas go nowhere
