Does anybody listen to our ideas?

Really??? Then it's a double whammy. My idea isn't even a idea or a suggestion and yet my topic was still reposted here. I'm smelling a conspiracy here between the developers and the moderators to prevent tankers from seeing my topic.

I am not sure, but it is strange..  :ph34r:

I've already explained this. The topic turned into a topic to ask if Developers listen to the players in general, meaning all our feedback on updates and ideas. :)

It's fairly obvious from the nearly universal negative feedback regarding score caps that ideas, suggestions, and feedback mean nothing at all.

I wouldn't say 'nothing at all' as the developers have adjusted the score caps system because of our negative feedback.

This is the only time that they have "listened" to us. Usually they never listen and they ignore us.

What about it? What about Moon silence, Gold Box dropping time/Gold Box drop zone,..

Didn't they adjust it because of our negative feedback? The cause of the removal of Moon Silence was the huge amount of fly hackers in there.

Huge amount of fly hackers in Moon Silence? There used to be many hackers in 2013, when anti-cheat system was bad. But no fly hackers now.

The anti-cheat system isn't quite perfect up to now.

Moon Silence was/is the most favourite map in the Game. I just really don't understand why developers don't listen to us? We all want that map back in the game.

But did anyone ask for the caps in the first place? I don't recall seeing any threads asking for specific caps on the maps - and - as we all know a cap on one map isn't necessarily appropriate for another map.

 

The reason given for the caps is because of team imbalance and teams having to wait a long time for the battle to end - the cap limit does nothing to address that problem at all because the team imbalance is a problem created by Tanki. Cap limits solve the problem no more than time limits do.

 

Besides the overwhelming number of people who responded to the thread about caps wants the update removed - but will that ever happen?

Indeed. They're currently completely focused on the new version and will only implement a few more updates such as the statistics for each player, before launching the Unity version.

 

This doesn't mean that it's useless to post your ideas as they can be taken into consideration for the Unity version.

I think it's better to just remove this instead of searching for a good amount of flags to be captured for all different maps. It was good the way it was. There were no changes needed to the normal battles.

I, too, don't like this update and don't see a decent reason to keep it, but at least developers take our negative feedback into account by adjusting the update, unfortunately not by removing it like I, and quite some other players, suggested.

I liked it when we could choose time limits and/or score limits. Unfortunately that is reserved for Pro Pass now.

 

So, it seems odd that they removed the ability to set caps and now have reinstated it in a strange way - assuming that a match should end with 10 flags is a mistake because a 9-8 match is not necessarily imbalanced.

 

To solve the team imbalance issue they really need to throw everyone wanting to join a Rio CTF match into a queue or bucket for Rio CTF, and, assign players to teams so that teams become balanced at all times. Preference to assigned slots could be given to those who have already been playing in Rio, or, preference given to people who have friends on their team as well.

 

It's sort of how the major Minecraft servers work (such as Mineplex and Hypixel) with regards to their individual/team games - you choose the round you want to play and the server fills up a round randomly based on people wanting to play that game - when enough players are available then the match starts - preference is given to people who have a "party" so that all party members play together. This way teams are always balanced with regards to numbers of players when a match starts. As it is now with Tanki a round that ends with 10 versus 5 will start with 10 versus 5 again - leading to more frustration and imbalance right away.

Ikr! All features for creating a battle, are only avaliable for players with Pro Battle Pass. I think that everyone should have this feature!

To be completely honest with you, I see very few good ideas on here. It's also very likely that there are indeed Tanki staff members who skim this sub-forum just to see if there are any good ones, but if so he/she doesn't reply to any threads, because that would make his/her job 5x as difficult.

 

And as for everyone ranting about the recent updates... they're pretty darn good in my opinion. Tanki keeps getting better and better, but no matter what people keep complaining about the new updates. The thing is that change always comes with drawbacks, and far too many tankers don't realize that. Yes, custom battle names and battle lengths did allow for more freedom and customizability, but it also made it much harder to find a battle that you're looking for. Now, with one glance at your screen, you can easily see the map, mode, duration, and time remaining of each battle. You can also easily find battles in a particular map that you'd like to play in.

Better and better? The server loads are 33% lower than this time last year. People are quitting because of the bugs, the glitches, and the drugging. The updates are slowly driving people away.
