Should tanki remove supplies?

Just so you know - supplies won't get removed. If you want to play without supplies you always have the option of playing PRO battles. If you want to discuss problems related to supplies, I suggest you check out this topic.

That topic over 100 pages long and I have not seen one real solution that was implemented into the game (other than smart cooldowns but I think that was another topic). Though it does give some amazing insight into the "drugs culture," 90% of the topic is simply angry players complaining about too much drugs, and the other 10% of good ideas are either largely ignored, or are declined for some various unknown reasons.

 

You suggest PRO battles but a good majority of the players either will not or cannot pay the steep 5000 crystal monthly fee to participate. And even if they do, much of the time it just goes to waste as there simply aren't enough users (below Generalissimo) who play PRO battles, again mainly due to the price. What other solution do we have, besides implementing "sets" of cheaper PRO passes like we did to the experience passes.

Drug is a part of the game, they shouldn't been removed. That's doesn't means that you have to use it ALWAYS. First of all people forget that this is a pvp game, that's mean that you should RESPECT others players, in particoular you shouldn't absolutly use drugs if:

#Your team is heavy winning but you want to climb positions to earn more crystals

#Opponent team is undernumbered

#Opponent team is clearly underpowered

This is just respect. If someone doesn't like supplies you can say him to buy a probattle, there are loads of battles with it.

I don't mind someone drugging at a critical point - like, to get a flag back to base (and I do that too) or when surrounded by multiple other team players... But I *hate* constant druggers and teams full of heavy druggers. When I see almost every opponent in a team battle with double damage, I get really pissed off... they are lame little no life losers who have to pay to be able to win at a free game. And as for the times when you have a really unbalanced team and the bigger team is still full of players constantly drugging. these players are just vermin. 

 

I think they need to be more heavily limited somehow. not just the cool-off system, but, say - limit the number of times someone can activate any drug over the course of a game.. Say for a 15 minute game, each player gets 10 drug activations and that is it. After that no supply button presses do anything. Or, as I sort of jokingly suggested in another thread - scale the XP you get from every kill, based on how many drugs killer had active vs tank killed... the more drugs you use vs opponent, the less skill the kill took, and so the less points you deserve for doing it. This way the losers who are constant druggers won't rise up to the top of the scoreboard.

 

As for tanki earning money - well they have earned a fair bit from me over the last year as I buy crystals to do upgrades for my garage.. and drugs make me want to just not bother anymore. Looking at tanki's stats over the long term, I think there's a lot of people who have given up from all the drugging and multing that make it so much harder to play a good game honestly.... so there IS a downside to tanki with their current supplies system here, I think... And to be honest they could probably add an entire class of decorative updates (ie like things you can buy to make your tank look different, not even necessarily do much practical) and I'd buy stuff like that, if I really liked it.. Drugs are not the be all and end all of funding this game.

Drugs were a mistake, they are far too powerful.  Something like a 30% boost in damage would be manageable and if implemented at the beginning players would be just as eager to purchase the smaller boost..  Early on I don't think the devs really knew how they were going to monetize the game.  Now players are heavily invested and they could not significantly nerf drugs without outraging all the top payers.  Remember the fury over the much needed smart cooldown?  Maybe in unity they will introduce some solution right from the start.

 

 

Play Pro Battles

Pro battles aren't really a solution unless you can learn to love xp.  There is really only the one server and a poor variety of maps.  Tanki has no incentive to popularize pro battles since they make more money selling drugs.

Hmm... I would just continue what I was doing and up the ante :)

 

Pro battles are just too few. And no, supplies should not be removed from game.

I was playing Pro battles when I was your rank, and there were enough of them to keep me into buying pro pass apart from XP/BP. Also, when you hit generalissimo there are loads of Pro battles.

I just believe that if a player needs to use drugs to win my team he is clearly a player with almost no skill, also known as a "noob". Tanki has offered people a chance to win games without needing any skill which is frustrating for players like me who use drugs only in an emergency, Goldboxes.

I am sorry Mr. Generalissimo but id rather save for equipment than buy a 5000 battle pass just toppled a fair normal match

At my rank there is close to 0 pro battles. ( parkour :D )

What I think should be done is make drugs for pro.battle.pass.

This way the druggers who think they are pro can play with other pro druggers. I would rather not play in an environment where I am seeing

That drugging twins,mammoth invading my team base and destroying my gameplay. Or a base with a mine for every square centimetre so nobody can step near the flag.

I think the only drug that should be limited it health packs. It drives me insane when I attack a titan or mammoth with firebird M2 and use up all the fuel, only for the opposition tank to use a health pack, enable double damage then kill me. Or when a titan / mammoth with thunder M3 and double damage is sat in a corner just unloading on everyone and using health packs all the time. How is this fair?
