Lets not confuse noobs with newbies, who are inexperienced players that tend to be more mature and strive to become better. There is a big difference noob vs newbie

They used to have the same meaning. It's us using it in contexts different from the original meaning of the word.

These young kids are not here to get their feelings hurt.  They are here to have fun.  I defend a lot of lower ranks on a daily basis. I refuse to watch a higher rank push their weight around on a lower rank by bullying, calling them noob and telling them to get out of the battle.   Some of these kids are 9, 10 and 11 years old.     There are a few parents who may not like their 9 year old spoken to as they are in this game which is very hardcore at times.  Tanki, do us all a favor and make the word XXX.   As out of hand as I have witness things get, Tanki, you  could be saving yourself  a future headache.

High-five bro

It depends on how its said and whom it is said to?  No it is not!!  It is ALWAYS said as a negative against a player.  Either you guys want to continue to put players down  or you are in denial.  Nothing good has ever come out of one player calling another noob.  I will start screenshooting today and in 1 month we will see what is what.  Facts will prove it!!

It's just a word, get over it. It's used so lightly now you must be extremely sensitive to take any notice.

Obviously, you are not a person who feels empathy.   When I have players telling me they are intimidated to play in a certain battle

because it makes them feel like an outcast when the higher ranks start calling them a noob, lightly, is not the descriptive choice.

Anyway, who are you to judge the impact of one's feelings?  The word needs to be curbed and that is the bottom line!

1. Stop flooding.

2. It does depend, what if we say noob to a person who is always flooding the chat and pushing his team mates and playing badly? He would be a noob then.

3. Oh yeah

So, when you see a player using drugs constantly, your opinion is they have no basic skills and you call them a noob.  Would you say you are giving him a compliment?  Cmon man, clearly you are putting the player down.   The word newbie or noob is an adjective for one who is new to the game, one who has gone through the first few ranks of 32 existing ones.

Being 100% complete with honesty, you don't call anyone noob to put them down?    If your answer is no then what is the feel behind it when you say it?

I get called a "noob" all the time because of my lack of m1s etc. but the funny thing is that i could highly likely use a m0 turret or hull better than some people who use m1s. come on guys the word 'NOOB" is over used and is used in the completely wrong context. plse vote yes!!!

This admits you are one of the abusers of the word.  Hah. It figures.  I'll be seeing you on the battlefield.  I now leave the conversation.
