Munitions

Hi,

 

I've been doing a brainstorming with a friend and we had some good ideas about some improvements to Tanki.

 

One of our ideas was to create different munitions for every turret. For example, a new munition for shaft that keeps burning the enemy tank after the shoot, just like firebird does, or a long range munition for ricochet, or a railgun ray that bounces like ricochet, but losing the ability to penetrate, for example.

 

What do you think about that?

What other munitions do you think would be great to play with?

Although without ammunition that mimics other guns. 

What would be better would be if you could have different kinds of ammo. They will be used only for Vulcan, Railgun and other purely projectile weapons.

They still fire rounds that look almost the same but with slightly changed parameters. Every ammo with an upside will also have a downside.

Ideas for ammo: incendiary, smoke (same damage with lower accuracy and, impact force and range but lowers enemy visibilty), armour piercing (no splash damage but higher impact force and significantly increased damage), high explosive (longer reload, lower impact force and range, does 10% more damage more splash damage that also has longer range.

How about freeze with self healing ?

Firebird with freezing effect?

smoky with splash dmg?

or vulcan having side effect of being froze?

or twins having bouncy effect?

ricochet having penetrating force .. like once in 3 shots and etc

That would simply remove the special ability of each turret and everyone would go to the most OP turret,making the gameplay dull,more than it is now

Was I ediot to sau hackmons?

Well hackmons is a meta in pokemon showdown for your meta if u want it u can play it else no

 

SO , in simple words

  There should be a option for that in pro battles but should not be implied in routine battles ofc

These sound like extreme changes that would create unnecessary complications and confuse gameplay.

Exactly. Tanki Online is so popular because it is simple. Adding this would make the game complicated without any significant improvement to variety, which is counter-productive.
