I had nyquist 2 win lol.  Poor victor with whitmore.  Still no special horses like American Pharoah was.

Post-mortem, I found a trend with this new points system for the Derby. Four times happening is not a coincidence.

I had nyquist 2 win lol.  Poor victor with whitmore.  Still no special horses like American Pharoah was.

I swung for the fences. If it doesn't pay 5-digits, then it isn't worth playing.

Two race horses died Saturday at Pimlico Race Course, site of the Preakness Stakes to be held later in the day.

Homeboykris collapsed after the first race of the day while walking back to his barn. The horse, a 9-year-old gelding, won the race but died after leaving the winner's circle.

Pramedya fractured a cannon bone while running on grass in the fourth race and was euthanized on the track. , jockey Daniel Centeno also broke his collarbone in the fall.

I saw that. . So sad. They just claimed Homeboykris recently to give him a good retirement home. Same connections who owned Barbaro. Those people have tedri le luck at Pimlico.

you wonder now if its all for the money .. to take out  the other one who is still in good shape or there was medical issues before so they can claim on the insurance money .. but if the vet gives him a clean bill the vet can be sewed now .. what rich people will do to save a buck.,.

So sad that 2 horses were killed on preakness day :(.  I knew Nyquist was screwed with the opening quarter and half mile. Fail by Mario G.  Just goes to show how good victor and pharoah were together.

Gutierrez went "go" right out of the break fearing he would be pushed back in the crowd. Afterburners were on for most of the race. Mario pushed the button too early and there was no turning it off.

Yes, that's what happened.  Nyquist is nothing like American Pharoah was.  Pharoah won on a sloppier track and with opening quarter and half just a bit faster.  I was so unimpressed with Nyquist's derby.
