I find it interesting that they discussed "account security" this week. Last weekend I started this topic. Many Problems - 1 solution - for Unity :huh:
In it, I talk about and offer a suggestion to combat account theft.

The new Unity TO looks like they have put a lot of focus on graphics, the look and feel, and game play, which is great, lets just hope they don't forget to address the underlying issues that many of us complain about.
Such as:

• mults and saboteurs
• cheaters in general -  hackers, raiders, power leveling
• over powered mindless drugers
• a better reporting system
• better tools for the moderators so they can be more efficient and effective
• account phishing, theft, sharing, and trading
• a different monetization model. One that doesn't give such a massive advantage to buyers in battle, but still offers them something they want to pay for.
• Repairing the relationship between the players and the developers - We all know that there really isn't one at the moment. They dictate, we listen and complain, and that's where it ends.

*** Let me clarify something. The moderators and developers are not in the same group. The moderators rarely know any more then we do and have lots issues with the developers just like the players. Very few mods have any more contact with the developers then we do. :( Sad really that there is such a huge disconnect between Tanki HQ and their staff and players in the field. (PUN intended)

• Don't worry about helping your team mates win the game. Just sit around and wait for the gold to fall. Oh yeah don't forget, "gold yet" "Gold please" this always helps.
• Don't forget to turn on your cheats. You can use a lag cheat or you can use a fly hack.
• and don't forget your helium filled dictator

thank you for saying what you said cause i thought i was the only one who felt like screaming out cause pushing players out of the way just to be greedy is not how tanki was to be played ..if this is how tanki wants new players to be then i find it rude to the long time players who have build up respect for others and now we have to fight to get a merely 1 k and destroy the reputation that they have build up ...not looking good for the future tanki ..what is next....

unity might look good but what is the consequences to the new game well one we all ready have heard is our accounts will be gone and we have to start over from scratch they said they want to try to keep the old system but for how long will it last i don`t give it three months after they change it then we all will be forced to play on the new system well we have seen a  shake up in tanki with good long time players leaving and soon will be more...not sure where this game is heading but i can say this mom / player is not impressed with the future of tanki..

hmm... I have a Problem. Unity only works for Windows and Mac. I run Linux on my slow processing laptop with horrible internet connection. So,

- Will you be making a new game Linux can use?

- Will the Flash Tanki still be running?

- If so, will I be the only one?

- 3D trees and bushes? does that mean you can run into them?

- How do you plan to keep Players' FPS higher?

Now this confirms for me that the Unity version will be client based. Browser unity will never support that.

The only thing, what me interests, is account transfer an unity. I play this game more than 3 years, and I have almost full garage and some m4. If you are not able, to transfer your garage wholly, an unity, or even in a worse case start from scratch, mainly old players will quit Tanki.

Well, we'll see. Players have spent soo much time, and money on their current accounts, if they have throw, all that away, just for a game update, would be very bad for morals and financialy of players. But Tanki said that is not just update, is all new game.

I'm sure developers are aware of the issues you've mentioned and with the new Unity version they will, hopefully, be able to implement special features to combat these issues.

 

In the previous episode of the V-LOG, they explained that administrators manage certain groups of volunteers and report directly to the CMs. We indeed know rarely anymore about the upcoming Unity version. The staff is here to help all players, manage the forum to keep it clean from all types of violations and to retain its structure, manage the chat to keep it clean from all types of violations, manage the help site, write articles for players' enjoyment, edit the wiki pages of TO,... (just in short). As for the developers' plans, we don't know how well these plans are already developed at the moment. The developers do the developing part, we're here to partly lesson their work load by managing the forum, chat, wiki, facebook,... as I just mentioned. Thanks for clarifying that developers and moderators are not in the same group which a lot of players misunderstand.

Nothing has been officially said about that. These are rumors going around which you mustn't trust. Watch the coming episodes of the V-LOG. They'll give us more information about the upcoming Unity version each week.

Of course Tanki won't beat World of Tanks...especially with the recent updates and the fact that there is not a random match making in Tanki....anyone can play with anyone and can also put mults in opponent team especially in CP where our moderators don't know what is a mult and therefore he cannot be banned.

Also, after all there is that "mighty" thing called Gold box...again, multing for it is not a new topic, everyone is doing it especially 10 year old kids with mind of OUFA, Portes or any other Gold hunter who decided to make videos literarly about multing...and such things in V-log certainly won't help the problem.
