Brown Screen (Mouse Control enabled)

The only thing I have done to fix this is to go to the Garage, change something, then come back.

Does this work for anyone else? I can see I changed equipment in the event log, but brown screen stays on regardless. The only two ways I can get rid of it, is if I get out of the game and rejoin (fast, but all crystals lost), or reload the whole game and hopefully land back in the battle I played before. It is incredibly annoying.

I have experienced this issue since June or so. Tried multipler browsers, played Tanki on different computers, played in multiple countries. All the same issue. Old CPU, new CPU, old graphics card, newer ones - make no difference at all. 4GB/8GB/16GB of RAM - no difference.

 

It always happens upon respawn if Tanki is full screen.

 

The only way to avoid it (mostly) is to exit out of full screen upon death, wait for spawn, then go back to full screen.

 

I tried the standalone Flash player - many versions from 11 - 19 beta - when it happens it causes Flash to crash completely - the only option being to close it and restart again.

 

And, no, the bug fix did not help. I was playing an hour or so ago on RU3 and it happened many times in Serpuhov just as it did last night right after server restart on Kungar on EN2.

 

It also happens on German servers and the Chinese servers.

 

I did notice that before it happens that the amount of memory Flash takes in Windows 7 can bloat up to almot 1GB. If it stays below 700MB of memory usage it seems not to happen.

Still continues to happen after the garage update. 4 times in Rio/EN2 in less than 5 minutes.

 

Is there any update on this problem???

Hello, tankers.

Developers need your help to fix this bug.

So if you have mouse control enabled in your settings and sometimes get a brown screen (with no error messages), please, provide the following info:

 

1. Do you have "Alternate camera behaviour" enabled (in Settings)?

2. Does the problem disappear after switching off "Alternate camera behaviour"?

3. What browser/player do you use?

 

We are counting on you!

 

P.S. if you have another problem to complain on, feel free to do it following the rules.

Firefox and Standalone flash

Brown screen happens during respawn.  Another member suggested to  go to GARAGE, change to SHAFT, go back to the game, hold down the mouse to enter the SNIPING mode the brown screen goes away.  I tried it and it works but, in the meantime, I lost valuable time and depending on the map, most likely i get killed almost immediately which sucks.

You have to change to SHAFT and then hold the mouse button down until you enter sniping mode and then the screen will come back.  I tried and it works.  But you still lose valuable time.

I use firefox, the only way to use mouse controls that I know of. I got one earlier today I believe. I usually fix the issue by scoping in with shaft (m3) and wait until the scope appears.

It only happens when spawning for me. Usually when I get killed I hit ESC quickly but sometimes it just isn't possible to do this all the time.

It happens regardless of browser and makes no difference if I use the standalone Flash player.

When i played for the first time on tanki the game was running smooth and good but now after these months of updates tanki has been going downhill very fast its not just the loading and lag complaints but also the ammount of bugs in tanki is too much. Lots of brownscreens and class errors everywhere i mean cmon tanki cant you fix anything it is your game after all especially since you caused these bugs to happen in the first place maybe you should take a step back and find the problem that occured over the past few months.
