Score cap for standard battles (Updated on August 28)

I think it should be based on the flag/score difference, e.g. if the battle is at 100 : 95 flags, who cares? Why end it? Same for other modes, say CP 50 : 40, why end it?

This is a fantastic idea. If they want to cap the games to prevent 10 v 2 games running a full 30 minutes, then base it on the difference in scores.

let us chose stay in battles or not, with this update u ruined game for 90% who chose right games to stay...This is terrible update , can u remove it for christs sake ? who told u we need this ?! devs ? plz get our votes before put these funny updates

Different-sized maps should have different limits, and the option to turn this off should be implemented, IMO....I kinda liked knowing exactly when the battle would end. ;)

CP for maps that have 5 control points also cap at 50 for 15 minutes. That is equivalent to cap at 10 for Polygon CP. Are you serious?

This should be fixed right away, not in tomorrow's server update.

They are doing this because they could not figure out how to fix the early end system. It is not optional. If it does not work, they will take it out just like they did there.

If one wants to end players leaving a loosing match, then one should FIRST ends the imbalance in the final score between the winning and the loosing party. Why should I stay in a team, loosing with 15-14 and only get something like 30% of the total crystals involved, while the winning party is reaping 70%. In most cases is the last one of a winning party earning more crystals then number 3 of the loosing one.There is NO incentive to stay in a loosing battle..... This is the real imbalance that should be compensated for.

basically it means we the players loose out now on battle funds..in other words say good bye to those 15 battles that use to have over 1k funds for players now we get less  crystals in most battles...so we are now either force to battle more to earn them or buy crystals these are now the only options for us and most players who are younger can`t afford to buy them 

 

..so tanki will not be winning in the end..regardless of this new update

 

and have you not noticed that not one staff member has down voted any of tanki`s new idea`s these days...wonder why ???

Interesting. I can see the thought processes behind this and think it will basically be good - eventually. It is not very well thought through and will need a LOT of tweaking to get it right.

To be honest, I am more interested in battles being bought to an early close when the opposition has fled and you are just left on your own.

I just played sever rounds of CP in Serpahov. Battles were averaging 2.5 minutes. That is absurd.

 

Whichever team gets the points first, wins. There is no time to turn the battle. 50 point in CP with five control points seems to take just over two minutes. If the other team can fight effectively and keep taking points, the time pushes over 3 to 3.5 minutes, but the initial side getting points has it before the other team can do anything.

 

50 points in CP is absurd. Absurd!

The only problem I foresee is the same one that occurs when there is no opposing team:

teams will just not score. I have seen players deliberately hold the flag and reported them to no avail.

If there is no opposition, you score no points for captures. If there are only one or two opponents, then

we get spawn killing, not a desire to end the battle earlier.

However, this might reduce raiding if you can reach the necessary number of captures:

a few times on Massacre the opponents left, my teammates left, and I was stranded until some new enemies

came along and stole the battle fund. :(

On first impressions, this would seem to affect small maps far more than large ones. 

I rarely see 5 flags captured in 15 minutes on Highway or Monte Carlo CTF, for example, but these limits seem far too low for smaller maps, and will reduce battle funds earned for skilful players.

 

A different end-win-condition for each individual map (or size class) would seem a sensible adjustment of this update.

 

To enhance this, Tanki could officially classify each map's size...

 

(1) Tiny           eg. Island, Ping Pong, Duel, Hill

(2) Small         eg. Valley, Wave

(3) Medium     eg. Polygon

(4) Large         eg. Monte Carlo, Rio

(5) Huge         eg. Farm, Kungur, Highway

 

...and have restricted win conditions based on the size class of the map (conditions increased by length of battle)

 

Also, as this update is meant to stop unfair battles due to team sizes, the ratio of players on each team could also be used to calculate the win conditions at the start of a battle.

Farm is not that big its only like 8 or 10 people.

Maybe he meant Berlin. They used to have Farms in every backyard there. :D

Come on tanki stop pushing us in the direction that suits you. We never asked for this, it just messes up the entire game. Don't bother about "mending" this update, remove it entirely! You already took away kill, point, and flag matches away from us last year and put them in to Pro Battles. If this constant pushing continues I will be forced to leave as I will no longer find enjoyment in playing.I know many other players feel this way too. Please don't let it come to this.

Why are you doing this to tankers??? Now gold boxes will almost never drop. And we will receive almost nothing when the battle ends.

 

 

 

This also means less the fund because normal battles will end faster and less fund means less chances of gold box 

 

 

 

I think no gold will drop in Island, Ping-Pong and Hill CTF in standard battles at least for today :P

 

 

this is a very bad update because the fund will be even smaller and we will not earn crystals and the sales are coming so please remove this update or at least you should've opened the test server to test it  first 

 

P.S:i may quit tanki because of this update :(

BS: the aim of this update is to make it even harder for players to get crystals without paying. It is already so hard to catch golboxes (at least for me) and with this update the chances of it dropping are reduced even further.  Of course, pro battles are not affected by this because you need money to get in them.

I was getting very fond of ping-pong ctf in the last couple of days, now it will be impossible to play it. I like to know how much time I well spend on a battle. The game basically will die because of all the side changing and players leaving after a couple minutes. It's not even April fools... Anyway I was probably going to stop playing when once Unity came, as my almost brand new PC already has trouble with lag, fps, and with new graphics it would be even harder for me (and I assume a lot of players who don't have a new PC like mine) to play and enjoy because I also don't like the new graphics. 

Not looking good, the last two news were very, very bad (and I won't even get into the change in daily rewards).

The chances of a gold box falling are not affected by battle fund anymore.

 

The chances of a gold box falling is everytime the battlefund increases.

 

This means that this update has NothinG to do with gold boxes.

This seems good feature but not applicable for all battles

instead you guys can introduce this feature in pro battles where we can enable or diable this feature

 

but for normal battles this feature is not suitable

NO! I love playing dm's, and I do NOT want to see them changed in such a horrifying way. In 15 minutes, i can get 50 kills without drugs (viking rico) easily, in 30 minutes, i can get 70 kills for sure. in 60 minutes, it is a shame if i cant get 100. so im constantly fighting against a new limit: I HATE IT! Tanki, Please Please Please remove this update and don't try something like this out again. This is ruining a beautiful game.

Remove it! I can't earn enough crystals before sale, and Island CTF will end too soon..Battle funds will never reach high amounts with evenly matched teams (which are rare).
